Anniversary and Keel Hauliday Ending Soon!

Just a reminder that all things Anniversary and Keel Hauliday end at 11:59pm tonight!

Charity will stop giving out cake, quests will stop giving out old holiday items, the Wizard’s adventure will end, the many event challengers will leave, and Freyalise Trading Co. will close up for the year.

Note: While we weren’t able to get the luminaire items out via wizard during the Anniversary, we will get them out sometime in the next month! For those wondering why the pirate challengers weren’t back for the holiday this year, we had so many challengers out thanks to the anniversary that we decided to hold them back. Maybe you’ll fight them on their travels later!

Amber, but the Battle UAs, about the battle opps.
One of them should have posted something about the Pirate Challengers ( those that have achievements attached to them, that I somehow missed ), would not be released. =/
They are the ones who decide all things battle !
Tho I had already figured that out, when they released 19 opponents. :o ( also not releasing the boppers ).

Thanks for the event and release of all those oldies @Amber and staff. :)
Brought back alot of good memories of the site, from years ago. Especially the Wizard adventure Art! :D

Thank you all for doing this! I had a blast and a half, ans though I still wish I was a tad bit greedier, I enjoyed hoarding all the amazing items I gathered. I was also overjoyed to finally see a new 'birthday goodie bag' for once, thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to make these cakes!! Let's hope next year has even more spectacular goodies!
PS: thanks as well for all the wonderful 'blast from the past' pieces, it relly took me back to my youth!

Ahh bummer I was really hoping the challengers would come back. I have been on a 2 year hiatus and I wanted to grab those achievements I missed previous time.

i had alot of fun fighting all those old challengers - making cakes doing the wizards adventure and so on thanks for all the fun !!!!

but every year i have trouble to get new items from the freyalise shop - nothing is ever in there and if it is its the previous years stuff - never able to get some new stuff from the shop i would love to see another system for that :) maybe if you bought a thing waiting half an hour or so ??? that way more people have the opportunity to finaly buy something there ??? and not only the quick restockers ???

Just waited 22 minutes for a Frey restock that had no new items, and such bad lag that there were four black sailcloth shirts in there, and they were gone by the time my screen loaded. Guess Frey is done for me this year lol. Finishing up some Quests and then SPOOKY TIME begins!

I think the issue is also that we always assume there are going to be challengers unless we are specifically told that we aren't. That's why telling us as soon as possible is so important, so we're all on the same page.

More news posts for update to an event are always appreciated! If people think it’s too much, all they have to do is click the remove button on the alert, they don’t even have to read it.

@Sphynx64 Yes, I assume you'll be able to use be able to use your cake after the event has ended. It's typical that most, if not all, site event items can still be used after the event is over.

100% agree with Rocketlauncher, METROID and Frost; this should have been put in a proper news announcement much sooner, not in an edited one that few people will read or buried in the forums where you have to find it via admin posts or being lucky enough to stumble on the thread.

I understand nothing can be done about it now, but as was pointed out this happens a lot where staff don't communicate these things to each other or to the users and those of us who aren't lucky enough to find the info or have it forwarded by others who did find it are left wondering what's going on until it's very last minute or too late. I'd like to believe a note has been made for the future and this won't keep happening, but with history as it stands I will reserve that judgement and see how things happen moving forward.

Enjoyed being able to rack up some sweet XP from the onslaught of challengers, thanks for releasing so many.

Bummed though that I did so many Cinthia quests for trick-or-treat items and didn't find a single chocolate sugar eyes. Seriously, the price for those is sky high and it hasn't budged. :disappointed: Did any new ones even go out?

The note is appreciated, and I'm glad that the challengers and old Lumi items will likely be going out in October! However, I'm still sad and a little annoyed that none of this info was officially posted in any news post until literally the last 12 hours of both events. :confused: I only knew about the Wizard from the admin posts and I forwarded that info to my friends, but any info on the pirate challengers was left in limbo until now.

Oh well. Back to questing to try and get some last-minute Keelhauliday items.

Then y'all need to improve communication between each other and make sure everyone's on the same page and get things done on a timely order. You guys cannot afford slip-ups like this.
I apologize for the blunt criticism, but I know you guys are better than this. I've seen it before, and I miss it greatly.

@METROID I didn't know if we were releasing them midway or not, that's why there wasn't a post about them. Pirates also don't happen every year, unlike the Boppers (which we decided since we had all the other challengers for the anniversary we weren't bringing back so I could include it in the post).

@Rocketlauncher I did try to update the original news post with the quests about the Wizard early on, but as some users pointed out not everyone goes back and reads a post (even if a thing is in bold). I've made a note for the future, though. :)

Oh NOW you decide to tell us the pirates won't be fighting us. I had my suspicions as the end date's been getting closer, but come on, it would have been nice to let us know when the events started in the first place. And you could have told us any time during the event, not just haphazardly tell us at the very end. Poor communication, as per usual now.

I will fight those scallywags whenever and wherever they show up. I love their spirit. They’re like sea Klingons. It’s too bad we didn’t get more pirate npc action but I get that with the anniversary stuff there was a lot going on.
