Some Updates!

First, enjoy this old free gift full of delicious recipes!

I know I promised everyone we’d have the Free Shop before Survival, but some circumstances have ruined that plan. I still have every intention of having the Free Shop happen, but it might be after Survival.

Speaking of Survival, we are strongly hoping to get it out this week. Some of us on staff, however, are currently under snow/ice in cities that are… not used to it. I personally have had fun watching my power flicker all weekend and having my router reconnect a billion times. That’s part of the reason why the Subscription item hasn’t changed for this month yet. I’m aiming to get the item changed over tomorrow, assuming my power and internet don’t let me down!

@Amber to hear you are going through the same thing we are. I can't believe we are getting this type of weather in the Southeast part of Texas. I'm hoping get spring soon after this.

Looking forward to Survival since it's one of my favorite Subeta events, but I totally understand with the snow and ice being in Texas which is 100% not used to this lol. Stay safe and warm, everyone! :)

I think they would be likely to extend it, since Survival is a favorite for many people. Part of the reason why they pushed back Masquerade and Vesnali a bit as well in recent years, so the schedule isn't quite as cluttered, they have a bit more room for events to go over their usual time if necessary due to the circumstances.

@Rogue This year is an oddball because of the weather a lot of us are being hit with but also with the fact we have a real life pandemic going on, we want to adjust the holiday a bit. Which takes some time! (also ;) we may just be adjusting how long it takes to get a full skin)

It seems weather is hitting everywhere. Ours won't happen until tomorrow. It's a good thing we are used to winter here, even though my city has been getting lucky with very little snow and melting temperatures. I must admit it is strange driving out of the city and into my neighbouring cities to see snow.

I hope the 19th isn't the new norm :( Last year it was 19 but years before that were 16-16-16-15-14. I know staff is doing their best :heart: I've just got my finger on the GO button to try to squeeze in as many skins as possible.

Only expecting maybe ten to twelve inches of snow here. We're used to it though, just doesn't mean we like it. :snowflake:

I know that feeling about being under the ice and snow, because my state, Arkansas, is next in line for all of this, and we haven't had this happen since 2015, so we're DEFINITELY not used to something like this.

I'm hopeful that all the staff that are having to deal with all of the snow and ice issues are being safe, and don't rush things if you can help it. :) No matter when the Free Shop or Survival begins, we'll all be here waiting for it.

@feral I'm so sad because I had yarn being delivered for a super special project but then snow happened so it's been delayed and it's like PERFECT SNOW DAY PROJECT. I have also layered up and my poor heater is not happy
