this is a lovely tribute. :) for those asking, betty passed on dec 31 '21 due to complications from a stroke she suffered on on/the day after christmas. i'm so glad for her that she got to feel just how beloved she was before passing. it's rare for the world to show how much we collectively love an artist before they die, and she got to feel that love for a very long time.
Ahh. I can't be crying this early already. Thank you, Subeta. Thank you Betty for being magnificent all these years.
Betty White is the only comedienne on Earth who could rope everyone from People Magazine to the ABC Network to Subeta into doing spectacular things for her birthday and then peace out a couple weeks early lmao. Rest well Miss Betty and thank you for being a friend, Staff!
