Blacklight Pets
It's a party in the Cash Shop! It looks like someone turned off the lights and brought a black light! Spectrum pets look a little bit different, but the effect is stunning! If you purchase a Blacklight Potion, your pets can look like this too! So far there are seventeen pets available in this color; these are the anyu, archan, bovyne, bumbus, cadogre, chai, feli, keeto, kerubi, kora, mallarchy, malticorn, montre, priggle, terracoon, tutani, and wyllop! Which is your favorite?

this would be a good idea but it was executed very poorly. people paid for overlays, now they have to pay for the potion for the pet because they can't use the overlay they paid for (or made, for that matter). also, this isn't really... blacklight. this is just hot topic black + rainbow. the art is cute, but it's the spectrum art. recycled.
I think the pets are beautiful, though new poses would have been nice. I may still get one in the future, when I have the extra cash - but we'll see. Great idea, I'd been wondering about this color for a while. So kudos for reading a lot of people's minds, though it sucks it's from CSC instead of a token shop potion. <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_sad.gif" border="0" />
I think they're fine. Yeah, I agree that they probably should have new poses, maybe add some glowstick items, but really. If you want new poses for them so much, how about YOU pay the artists for such a thing.

Wow at all the negative comments here. I think it is a great idea and complaining they should have new poses is well is silly, after all the work the artists do already on this site, that to me is lame. That was not their intent, accept it. If you do not want one, or do not like it, don't get one, period. I do not know how to overlay, I do not know anyone that does. I like it, I like it, I like it. poo on the rest of you critics.

Though, I suppose it'd be more bang for their buck as far as effort goes. Charge $10 just for recoloring a few layers in the PSDs? Probably took all of about 2 seconds for each pet.

Well, this is quite disappointing. Are we going to have a CS reborn where someone's gone into the PSDs and makes the flames black? Maybe call it hellfire, and keep the old poses? Seems like the direction this is headed.

Oooh. The instant Clawsions are available in Blacklight (though I realize the Spectrum version will probably be revamped first), BlockedWriter is getting potion'd.

I really like them, but am sad that the overlays I've had/done in the past that were spectrum pets coloured black would now be against the rules.
I also think it would have been nice if sine they are spectrum pets coloured black that we needed to have a spectrum pet to use the potion on.

There cool but I would have liked to see something better. A whole new type of pet with pose/color etc would have been amazing! These pets just look so plain and boring, same pose and everything but just changed to black. I am a little disappointed and would have loved to see a new color, but oh well maybe next time.
Ehhh. Same poses as spectrum but black and rainbow. I could just as easily make overlays for my spectrum pet myself and use that with no charge.

this only really bugs me because they don't seem to be in rave spirit? like happy poses could be rave-like I guess if we're talking about the drug aspect of raves but I think if you're gonna call something blacklight then the poses should reflect that. this being said, I hope when the "blacklight" hipottu comes out it won't make me wish I had that one instead. so far I still like spectrum pets better.

As Deja mentioned the "Spectrum pets are being devalued" I may want to recolour my Spectrum Kumos in the future. I don't want a different pet colour to have the same pose as another spectrum pet.

Ya know, if this was obtainable via an elixir as well (or just only elixir period), then I'd be fine with this. But seriously? Ripping people off for a mere recolour edit? Hell, you can get a "rave pet" overlay for 300k at most, nowhere near what this stupid potion costs in the CS.
I like these way more than the regular spectrum pets, but I'd rather have a lovely recolored overlay. nice, but not nice enough for me to really like.

@Pie I really don't want to get into the 'if this isn't your cup of tea, don't get it/but it's my opinion and I can voice it where I want blahblahblah' waterwheel argument. If these had been done with their own poses and with the creativity I have come to love about everything else around the site, I would have probably eventually gotten myself one. And I would like to know about overlays as well. Will spectrum overlays with black bases still follow the rules, or no?
Phantom...I meant that other users can no longer USE this color scheme on overlays. Where in the heck did copyright infringement come into play? It's a site rule that you CANNOT recolor say a sun pose and make it look Reborn if the actual pet is SUN not Reborn.

They're nice, but I agree with the comments below, this is really incovenient for people with similar overlays. A pose change would probably fix it, though.
@Phantom tl;dr. You're taking this rather seriously? If the pets aren't for you, then don't get one. I'm sure there are plenty of others that like the idea. Every site does things in order to please its user base. People were requesting pets like this, so, we delivered. Simple as that. If you find them too expensive, then, again, don't buy one, OR save up (if you really, really want it).
That's just my take on all of this though. Every site has things that some people like, and some people don't. You can't please everyone. :3
