History

Phae'shalee was born and raised in the city of Malla'abbilen in Eilistraee's realm in the upper planes of Arvandor. She spent her life in a chaotically good realm and knew the hardships and evils of the world, and the cruelty and evil of the drow of the Underdark and their gods as more of a philosophy of a distant world then a reality. During her training years she worked hard to become a holy warrior for the goddess Eilistraee - the goddess of good drow, a goddess of music, dance, swordwork and hunting - and prepared herself to travel to the mortal realm to fight evil.
It wasn't anything that she was truly prepared for.

Beyound the evils of devils, demons and wicked gods were more simple hardships of children who didn't have enough food, the daily callousness and greed of your average city.. she saw that there was even more to fight.

She took on a mantle of pure joyous goodness, always trying to show a smile and joyful side to those around her in an attempt to bring smiles to other's faces. She realises that it makes her seem rather dim sometimes and that she is more making a bit of a spectacle of herself... but she does so with full belief that smiles and joy brings more smiles and joy... and that is exactly what the world needs.

Dark Elves: The dark elves (or drow) of Phae'Shalee's world/setting are a race of very evil elves. Their pure vileness and depravity is on the same level as demons making them one of the more feared and revilled creatures known about. Good drow are very rare due to any who are not evil enough to survive in dark elven society rarely survive childhood. Eiliatraee is the only drow god who is not evil (in fact she is kindly and good) and a symbol of resistance for good drow, a beacon of hope for those who wish to escape the Underdark and evil drow society.
This also makes life difficult for non-evil drow in other societies due to the hatred other's bear their kind. It is also a reason for Eilistraeeans to show more kindness then typical, to really drive the point home that they are not like their evil kin.

Phae'Shalee's Naked Nakedness: Phae'Shalee is a nearly full time nudist in reverence to Eilistraee... a goddess who is said to be nude and only clad in her long, flowing hair. She hasn't sworn any actual oaths of nudity, but she prefers to be also clad only in her hair. (Although for a long time she still wore boots to protect her feet, and over time has added stockings to personalize her 'wardrobe' a little bit more. >.> ) When in societies where she 'has' to wear clothing she wears as little as possible, often finding the most gauzy/meshiest material she can legally get away with.

Ryder Fehn: In a strange crossing of paths (and strange cross over of RPGs in our home game - Pooka) Phae'shalee met the space cowboy pirate Ryder Fehn. He was from a plane that included both magic and space travel and was a rebel fighting against an evil dragon empire. Phae'shalee and her sisters were quickly offering to aid this strange but very charismatic human and it wasn't long before he was leaving their plane and the girls joined him to adventure across the different planes.
Phae and Ryder were already fast friends and very close, so when both of their separate relationships fell apart the two of them quickly realised how perfect they were together. They were married only one week after starting to officially date.

Ryder is also a Holy Liberator, and the two of them bond on their love of music (Ryder likes more of a country twang) and their desire to spread goodness wherever they go. (The fact that they're both playful, somewhat flighty and rather chaotic doesn't hurt either.)


The whole cookie 'thing': Phae has gained a reputation for loving cookies. Mind you she does really love cookies, and it's probably her favourite treat (and she's been known to raid and steal from cookie cupboards), but the whole 'cookie thing' is more of a running, and very private joke between her and Ryder. Very few people know the joke behind her cookies, and it's a very naughty one... so only her closest of friends know the story behind it.
