Personality

Zena is bright, curious and creative. She finds a fascination in people's personalities, lives, history, and well.. pretty much anything in the whole spectrum of what makes somebody. It's the little details that she tends to see, like if somebody trimmed their hair, or is wearing new shoes, a personality trait that stems from her curious prismatic dragon side... this also tends to make her a wonderful friend since she' s a good listener and is honestly interested in what you have to say about your life.

Art and music are this half dragon's passion. She considers herself a painter, but often has more of an abstract 'splatter' style then graphic arts (although she is a talented graphic artist as well). Nearly any type of music catches Zena's attention, but ever since learning of other more 'modern' planes she's grown a love for dance and trance music quickly taking to the raver sub-culture and style.

At times Zena'luae may seem somewhat distracted, which is due to her many forms of colour syntheisa. Her prismatic dragon blood gave her the ability to sense colours on so many levels that at times it can be overwhelming. Sounds generate colours to her vision, as does texts, tastes, scents, and even touch. She loves that her colour senses are so strong, and often pities those who cannot experience the world to her strong degree... although such a near constant sensory overload is distracting sometimes.

Powers/Abilities:

Natural minor drow magics, but she is exceptionally talented with her dancing lights spell that she can create at will. When creative the globes of colourful light she creates more of them, for longer duration, and can even re-shape them into varying forms (her favourite being small glowing insects, like butterflies, dragonflies and fireflies).

She can fly (slowly) with her wings, has natural claw attacks (retractable claws on her hands) and can breath a prismatic spray for a breath weapon. (either energy damage, or one of a list of spell effects). Light doesn't bother her in the least, no matter how bright, and she is not effected by prismatic spells.

Small motes of colourful light randomly spark from her body, and the natural glow from her wings can't be extinguished.

Zena is a talented (if strange) artist, a decent dancer and proficient percussion musician.

Although Zena has a strong inborn talent for sorcery (common with most half dragons) the natural spells she's developed mostly deal with colour, illusions or music. Although fun spells for parties, her limited knowledge of decent adventuring spells can sometimes be a hindrance.

History

Zena'luae's father is a drow magician of incredible power. He's often evasive about his past, but she has realized that he's much, much older then he seems, has adventured beyound what most could imagine possible, and that he's very devoted to the goddess Eilistraee. (the only good drow deity.) It was no surprise that somebody with such a fascinating past could attract a prismatic dragon, the most powerful type of dragons who are interested in the spectrum of history, society, people and their personalities.

Zena barely knew her mother Alaermalae before the dragon left to explore more interesting distractions, so she was raised by her father (a rare thing in the very matriarchal drow society) who brought her to Eilistraee's realm in the upper planes to offer his services as high mage to the city of Malla'abblien.

Zena grew up in the magical, musical city and was set up on 'play dates' with the Moondancer sisters. Due to her slower aging (even slower then an elf, due to prismatic dragon blood) Zena was able to be either a childhood playmate, or a teenage friend to all of the Eilistraeean girls from the Moondancer family. She's best friends with Phae'Shalee and loves to spend as much time with her as possible.

Zena's growing up in a heavenly city, with a kind and magical father who raised her somewhat spoiled she is surprisingly socially well balanced. Often she will be more responsible then her father who tries to get her to go out and be a little more 'wild'.
(eg. Zena tells her father that she was going to go to a party that night, he 'forbids' it in an attempt to be a good father while hoping that she would sneak out anyhow. That evening he finds her home reading and asks why she's not at the party, Zena shrugs and says that she wasn't allowed to go. So her father gave her a speech of how 'teenage girls are supposed to do things like sneak out! I was trying to give you the chance to go.' A little confused Zena closes her book and heads out to the party.)

Zena's Love LifeIn the past Zena has had a terrible habit of dating people who could be described as bad-boys, jerks, trouble to 'just plain evil'. It's not something that Zena herself really has tried to analyses or really cares about... she probably just has a weakness for troublesome love interests.

Recently she met the human Oliver. He's from a plane that is similar to a more magical, modern day Earth. Oliver was one of the first humans the Moondancer girls found in his plane and they both adored him and kept him around as an 'expert' on his plane and just to squee over his nerdy-cuteness.
None of the Moondancers had snatched up Oliver as a consort and Zena found him to be interesting (and if the other girls liked him so much, there had to be 'something' great about him, right?) and she asked the nervous Oliver out. (Who truly is a nerdy, be-spectacled, small human male who is around 20 years old... and who had never even been on a date and had barely spoken to girls before the Moondancers swept him up.)

Zena has found Oliver to be very thoughtful and giving, due to his tending to try to hard, and loves his nervousness about dating her. Zena's father oddly loves Oliver, and is so happy that Zena is finally seeing a 'nice boy' (the living room still needs some refurnishing after her previous goblin boyfriend ran through the wizard's tower on fire.. it's better not to ask 'why').
In an odd parody some of Zena's old exes have gotten the idea in their heads that they need to prove themselves by beating up Zena's new boyfriend (in a bit of an RP joke/spoof of Scott Pilgrim). She doesn't know how they got this crazy idea into their heads (*cough* blame one of the Moondancer sisters) but is oddly entertained by the situation, especially because her father equipped Oliver with some potent magic items and has started training him as a mage.
