Rhosgobel Rabbit: A rabbit originating in Rhosgobel, Middle Earth. They are two to three feet tall, are very strong, and highly intelligent.

This breed of rabbit can be found in various places throughout Middle Earth but they all originate from Rhosgobel. They are wild creatures and not domesticated. They are typically brown but have also been seen in other colors. For instance, in the desert Rhosgobels are a light tan, whereas in the North they are white with a purple sheen. They are much faster and stronger than other rabbits and are highly intelligent.

The only known instance of domestication is a small herd of Rhosgobels who keep company with the wizard- Radagast the Brown. It is unknown if all Rhosgobel's can be trained such as these, but it appears as if it is the presence of the wizard that contributes to much, or perhaps all, of their willingness to be trained such as a dog or a horse. They work with him and seem to have a bond of friendship with the wizard. They pull Radagast's sleigh and endure life-threatening peril for him. They are very brave, the ones in his service have confronted Orcs, Giant Spiders, the Bats of Dol Guldur, and Gundabad Wargs, among other things. They have helped to save Middle Earth multiple times and continue to fight for it's freedom whenever Radagast calls upon them.
