Hess didn’t let his upbringing drag him down.
Scrappy background, he still had his grandparents that raised him the best they could.
Love him and his brothers for all they were worth.
Abled him to go to school he otherwise would never get into.
Living rent free above their garage for years.
His brothers sometime shifting to temporary room mates as they too got ready to be on their own.
Not one of them took the hard path he did.
They all found a calling with the manual labor force.
Fleeing quickly from his late-night study habits and perfectionist cleanliness to their own abodes.
When the degrees and doctrines hung on his wall, gathered together proudly. Did he broach moving to his own place.
Only to be gifted the estate.
The estate he of course shared with his brothers.
Allowing them to renovate the garage into his own personal perfect palace while they enjoyed their grandparents large home.
The thought of changing the home that once housed all eight of them into apartments for each, was quickly squashed.
They lived in their own rooms.
As brothers, as housemates, as…
Hess refused to think about that last thing.
The five of them figured life out on their own.

A doctor that could and did treat his relatives on his off days.
