In this world, magic is not an academic formula, nor is it an element extracted from nature. The schools of magic are not defined by elements like fire or water, but by in which way magic is manipulated and manifested. Magic is a frequency, it is a cosmic vibration held by ancient, primordial archetypes also known as deities. To cast magic, a mage must not merely study, they must synchronize. Through meditation, emotional alignment, and a deep embodiment of a deity's core symbols, a mage tunes their soul's frequency to match that of a deity. While some flexible mages can skim the surface of multiple deities, the truly exceptional mages can perfectly lock into a single, profound frequency.
At the Vernal Halls Academy, the absolute masters of these frequencies serve as the academy's faculty. In this institution, professors do not use their birth names. They are stripped of their past identity and awarded the Title of the frequency they have perfectly manifested. To hold a Title means you are the living avatar of that god's concept within the academy's walls.
Kauket is one such professor.
