Tetsugi has a minion!

Zaiga the Lightning Sylph

The Storm Watcher.

The first thing Tetsugi remembers is darkness. Just dark quiet in every direction.

And then.... a single drop of light.

The drop of light expanded and Tetsugi found themself overlooking a crying human with a limp Keeto in her arms.

Suddenly, a voice.

"I expect you to take responsibility for this," the voice said, gently but firmly.
Tetsugi didn't understand.

The voice continued, "Your name is Tetsugi. You are born of the bolt of lightning that caused this sorrowful scene."

Tetsugi looked back down at the sobbing human cradling the Keeto, watching as she shouted the Keeto's name to no avail. The human's tears were lost to the rain drops streaming down her face, and Tetsugi felt a twinge of guilt. Watching that human cry was making them want to cry too.

"What must I do?" Tetsugi asked, their voice breaking just so.

"Be there for her," the voice answered softly. Tetsugi watched as the limp Keeto rose from the arms of the sobbing human and Zonra was born again.
"She is the Storm Bringer," the voice continued. "She will need you, always. Be there for her," the voice said softly.
"Always," Tetsugi replied, echoing the voice.

Tetsugi never heard the voice again.

The rest of Tetsugi's life has been spent with Zonra, the Storm Bringer, and their closest friend and companion, a Lightning Sylph they named Zaiga. Together, Tetsugi and Zonra travel all over Subeta, creating rain and storms to nourish the soil below.

One thing that concerns Tetsugi is Zonra's moments of hesitation when she sees a pet in danger during one of her storms. She just... freezes. Tetsugi is sure it has to do with Zonra's past, but doesn't really know what to do about it. Tetsugi just tries to be there for Zonra, reassuring her during these moments. They simply do what must be done, for Subeta, and for Zonra.
