A ship at harbour is safe, but that's not what ships are for.

Thom plays a role in Lepidoptera. To be betrothed in an arranged-marriage to the Princess, when she is kidnapped, he must chase down the rebel forces. These forces, led by the Rebel Leader, are successful in their efforts to overthrow the King.

Thom is Jair's opposite: spoilt, rich, soft, gentle where Jair is hard, strong, passionate. His missions to save Edie prove unsuccessful, for she is a Princess with no intention of being saved.

When she triumphs, Thom's life as he knows it is turned upside down. He has to learn to adjust to his new life, still part of the Royal Order but now changed beneath a new leadership. His story will be largely focussed on the time after the events of the main events of Lepidoptera; how he finds himself again. He spends time within the lower-class social scene, falling in love with someone far below his own status as Prince.
