A breeze ruffles the grass around you, skittering over the field and brushing against your face. Off to one side, a homely cottage stands, just protruding from the treeline of a forest. A thin trail of smoke billows from the chiming, curling up into the clouds. While you’re enjoying the tranquil seen something crashes heavily into you with a huff, knocking you over. As you’re collecting yourself, a pair of vibrant pink eyes pop up in front of you, pressing close enough that you go cross eyed.

“Sorry! I didn’t see you there!”

The eyes draw back, and now you can see that they belong to a small female Kerubi. The little creature smiles sheepishly at you, lopsided grin showing pointy teeth not befitting her seeming friendly character.

“I was just playing here - there was this really cool butterfly! - when suddenly, wham! You were there. As, as you probably felt.” she laughs a little nervously, shuffling her paws. She seems to remember that she’s still sitting on you and quickly hops off. “Are you ok by the way?” before you can answer, she perks up. “Oh, oh! I forgot to introduce myself! I’m Mayuka, Mayuka Bloom! You can call me Yuka if it’s too long though, I like both! I really love food so if you have any you don’t want I’ll happily eat all of it. All of my family’s busy right now so that’s why I wasn’t expecting anyone to be here.” considering, Mayuka tilts her head and frowns, deep in thought. It only lasts for a moment as, seemingly decided, she beams up at you with large doe eyes. “Will you play with me?”

Your answer doesn’t really matter - although how could you say no to those eyes? - because somehow you’ll end up playing with her anyways. As the honeyed sun dips behind the horizon, a Kumos calls from the door of the cottage. Mayuka skids to a stop, attention no longer entirely focused on chasing you, and glances over. She sighs sadly before pouting up at you.

“Sorry, I guess I gotta go now. I had so much fun playing with you though! Let’s play again ok? Just come back here and I’ll always be ready to play! Well,” her face scrunches up. “Unless I need to do chores or something. Or I’m eating! Oh yeah, I guess that’s why they’re calling! I wonder what we’re eating~” she hums to herself cheerfully, skipping over to the house. After a few paces she pauses. She turns around and waves back at you with a broad grin.

“Bye! Let’s play again next time!”
