It is very early in the morning. Most of the Earthlings would still be asleep at this time of the day. Not even the sun has peeked over the horizon yet. The creature races through the swamp and, unlike the other animals, towards the direction of the recent wildfire that has finally been extinguished.

Although Lorenzo may share the markings of an African Wild Dog of the Savanna, he actually is not one. In fact, he is very different from all the animals Earth has to offer. Lorenzo is one of the solar system’s ancient creatures. His parents, Caydan and Chelsea, are the king and queen of the solar system. Caydan was given birth through the solar flares of the sun while Chelsea through the Canis Major constellation. Most of the other ancient creatures have unique births like his parents, but Lorenzo is the first and only creature that is the son of two ancient creatures. He was born on Earth long before the first Earthlings even made an appearance. Lorenzo still has unique abilities like the others though. He has the gift of life.

He walks through the swampy water and enters the land that had been destroyed by the wildfire. The air becomes smokey and the ground feels warm. It is time to get to work. The flora on his back matches the swamp's biome. It always changes depending on what biome he may be in so that he can repair the land with the correct flora. Suddenly, discolored grass of the swamp begins to grow beneath his feet. His touch brings life to Earth yet again. He looks at the disaster all around him and realizes he needs to work fast in order to finish before the Earthlings wake for the day.

It would be cutting it close, but if Lorenzo pushes himself, he’ll be able to repair all of the destroyed land just in time. He can then request Cambri, the ancient creature of the sky, to make it rain to help with the healing process of the land. Lorenzo chuckles to himself. The Earthlings will be amazed with the sudden transformation from death to life in the land.

But something stops him in his tracks. An unfamiliar creature stands in the remaining section of untreated land, partially covered by burnt trees. His ominous appearance sends bad vibes through Lorenzo. The monster looks into Lorenzo’s path. He is not an ordinary animal. Could it be another ancient creature of the solar system?

The creature gives a sly smile. “What are you doing?”

Lorenzo narrows his eyes. He didn’t trust this guy. His six feathered tails sway behind him. It almost appeared that each one was holding something, but he couldn’t quite tell what they were. “I’m repairing the land,” he says hesitantly.

The creature shakes his head. “Why would you do such a thing?” Before Lorenzo can respond, he continues. “This was caused by a natural wildfire. You may think you’re helping Earth, but Mother Nature intended this to happen.”

“Who are you?” he asks. Lorenzo didn’t want to waste his breath telling him how wrong he was.

There is a pause, as if the creature is pondering whether or not he wants to disclose his name. “Jonathyn,” he finally says. “To be honest, I’ve never seen a planet with so much life. This could be...useful.”

Lorenzo growls. “I don’t know what you have in mind, but you better scram. If you’re an ancient creature of the solar system, then the last thing you should want is destruction of anything it has to offer.”

Jonathyn chuckles with amusement. “You’re right, I am an ancient creature. But not of the solar system. No, I’m not just confined to one teeny system. I’m an ancient creature, the king, of the galaxy.”

Lorenzo’s eyes widen. His parents have always told him tales of potential threats that could live outside the solar system, but he always thought they were just stories and precautions. Has one really found his way into the solar system? He studies his tails again. Whatever they’re holding, they look like a small replica of something grand. He becomes mesmerized with the swirling of the objects and then a thought hits him. “You’re born from a black hole.”

“How did you guess?” A sinister smile crosses Jonathyn’s face. Lorenzo watches as he lowers one of his feathered tails. A black hole slides off his tail and then immediately forms. “Welcome to your new home, Cody.”

He can’t help but to watch as a small creature walks right out of the black hole with no struggle. Lorenzo has heard of black holes before; he thought that nothing could escape the grasp of one? And yet here is this dark colored fox, walking out with ease. The fox has little expression on his face and he appears to be carrying soot on his back. Lorenzo’s mouth drops as he makes a realization. Cody is a firefox that was born from the sun. Is this the same Cody? Lorenzo snaps out of his thoughts and back into reality. But to his horror, Jonathyn had disappeared but left the young, small black hole behind.

Without thinking twice, he races towards the sky, as if gravity had no affect on the creature. Lorenzo had to warn his parents and the other ancient creatures. The solar system is in danger.
