Xun is a very hard to get to know. He has many layers of personality to get under before you find the true one. To most, he's a cold, brutally honest general. He follows the Art of War closely, and delivers equal punishments to all of his troops, generals or foot soldiers alike. He also deals out equal praise and gifts when deserved.

Beneath his General personality, Xun can be described as pretty average. He doesn't enjoy mornings, and likes to sleep in when possible. He doesn't spend much time alone in his tent, and often sits out at the fire pits with his soldiers and eats his meals with them. He has feelings, as well, like any other person, and while he showed some brief moments with his general, Xue, he has come to show them more often, now that Jian has begun staying in his camp.

There's yet another layer beneath this though, one that he still does not show. Xun is rather like a gentleman beneath. For the longest time, there was only one person who had ever seen him act like such a gentleman, but now with Jian around, again, he is showing it more and more, and he feels lucky that his men do not see him as weak, being that he's now in love.

Xun spent most of his life training in a dojo, under the guidance of his father and his father's best friend. Through this training, he came to know another young boy by the name of Li.

The two trained together all the time, and became quick friends. They went through school together, and were simply inseparable. Near the end of their time in school, however, Li seemed to be falling ill and was often not acting like himself. Xun couldn't figure out why his friend acted this way, and his friend‘s parents couldn't explain what had happened. One day, Xun followed his friend in secret, watching him from behind trees as the other moved deep into the coldest, shadiest part of the forest. It was here that he witnessed his friend speaking with a woman. She was beautiful, her hair dark, and it seemed to sparkle like starlight, despite the darkness around her. Xun hardly noticed her beauty, however, as he had took more notice to the fact that she was placing a spell over his friend.

He reluctantly left the area, heading back to Li's home to tell his friend‘s parents of what he saw, and brought them back with him. Xun believes now that when he left, he was seen, and recognized as a friend of Li's, because the sight that they returned to was certainly not what he had expected. There lay Li, in a pool of his own blood, a gaping gash in his chest. Xun was shocked, as were Li‘s parents. There was no sign that the mysterious dark woman had been there, and Li's parents quickly came to the conclusion that Xun had killed Li himself, and brought them out here to have them believe that he was innocent. Despite Xun's desperate claims of innocence, Li's parents drove him away from their home, and told everyone in the village what they believed to have happened, and soon, Xun was driven from his home village.

Xun traveled alone for some time, until he came along a village with a few problems. It seemed some of the villagers were acting quite different than they had been before, and were causing a lot of trouble around the village. While resting in one of the Inns one night, Xun overheard a few men planning to tail after the men who had been acting different, and he offered up his own services to help. He told the men his story, and they decided to follow after him. They led a successful raid, killing the mysterious woman's vassals before they could place spells on the men again, effectively freeing them. From here, the rest is nearly history. The men he had saved, and the men he had led, decided to follow Xun, and help him in other villages to free more and more men from the spells these vassals were placing on them.

It didn't take long for Xun to rally a large army, and news spread quickly of their accomplishments. They were treated well in new villages, often being fed large meals and given plenty of wine. Xun always allows his men to drink as they please, feeling they do all deserve it for their loyalty and consistent bravery. Along the way, Xun picked up two of his greatest generals, Xue and Bezaliel. The former having sought him out, and the latter joining after a brief visit to another village. Through his travels, as well, Xun has become known as the Dark Lord of Flames by the vassals, due to Xun's affinity toward fire. Their constant defeats at the hands of Xun's army has also enraged the mysterious woman, who grew to power in the Galactic lands, taking over the villages there and converting all of the villagers into her own puppets. There have been a few, however, who have escaped from her, and this is how Xun met Jian.

Jian was found by Xun while he took a walk away from his camp to enjoy a few peaceful moments to himself. When he went to check on the other, he found himself thinking of his old friend Li, as the other looked a lot like him, and he found himself feeling as if he knew Jian, despite having just found him. He carried Jian back to his camp and let him rest in his tent, spending most of his time tending to the other until he woke. Jian was initially reluctant to accept Xun's help, though still kept nearby while Xun wandered about his camp. Jian also watched on as Xun allowed a wanderer and former seemingly enemy, Nithael, joined the ranks, though the boy seemed to disappear not long after joining.

Xun treated Jian very well, as if he was his dear old friend Li, and couldn't help but be curious as to why. Jian had no inclination of accepting Xun's friendly offers, and at another village, Xun sat down to speak with a mystic, hoping to find a few answers. Before that visit, Xun wouldn't have believed in spirits or the like, though after, he had come to believe what the mystic told him; that Li's spirit was residing within Jian. That is what brought them together, the mystic told him, and it would only take some memory of the past together to make Jian believe it as well. After a few tries, Xun finally brought Jian to believe what the mystic said as well, and since, they've become inseparable, with Jian finally giving in. It didn't take long for everyone to realize that they had fallen in love, as well.

Xun has since welcomed a few more well-trained warriors into his army. Nithael returned, this time with Beleth, a young prince, and Bezaliel's younger brother. Orik and Akares, a warrior and mage, have also joined, along with the others. Xun has decided it's time now, feeling he has enough strength on his side, to go into the Galactic lands to free the country of the Queen's spells, and each day, the army marches closer and closer to her gates...
