Amidst the rummage that was Alicii's private study, there lay a small undisturbed stack of books. Burning with an intense curiosity, you couldn't help but to navigate through the room towards the books. Taking the top book from the stack, you flipped through it, only to discover an indecipherable writing inside.
"Ahem."
You turned around quickly, trying to hide the book behind your back. It seemed as though punishment was inevitable for crossing the wrong path with the town sorcerer. You knew that entering this place would end horribly, but then again Alicii was supposed to be out for most of the day. "I though better of you, young one. When one feels curious, though, it would probably be the best to hold it in." He spread out his dark colored wings, knocking over several books and papers, causing even more of a mess. "Now if you please, I would like my book back." His eyes watched carefully, noticing your curious expression. "Yes, young one. I have come across many battles in my day. It is the cause for my disfigurement." It was then you noticed his eyes. Deep and full of wisdom, his eyes were two separate colors; one the color of ice, matching his personality, and one the color of a dark fire.

"Please do not fear me, young one. I am simply a healer; a man who wants no more than to heal my fellow people. I know the rumors paint me as a grumpy old crab, but I assure you that I am anything but." He reached up with a paw and took his spell book back. He walked slowly over to a covered table, knocking off the items with his tail. "Would you like to take a look around? Maybe with this new knowledge you could help those who fear us sorcerers find new light." He flipped through the pages before walking around the room, picking up odds and ends that would be of no use to anyone else. He stopped for a moment, noticing you about to open one of his "special" potions. With the flick of his tail the potion left your fingers and shot back into it's place on one of the many shelves. "You need to learn not to open what is not yours. That potion was an experiment. A concentrated plague. Once inhaled, death is inevitable."

He kept a serious stare at you for a few more moments, then proceeded with his new potion. "You would be surprised by the uses of items people declare as garbage. Leftover mandrake roots, or even rotten garlic cloves could be used as life saving potions in the right hands." He gave a soft smile before grinding some herbs in his mortar bowl, while tossing ingredients into a large cauldron with his tail. "You came here out of curiosity, but also because a relative of your family has become suddenly ill, correct?" He looked up, taking a quick glance at your facial expression. Full of shock you almost didn't notice that smoke had begun to fill the room from the fire under the cauldron, making you cough quite a bit. Alicii mixed in the herbs from his mortar bowl, stirring the mixture for a short time. He got down on all four paws and blew out the small fire below. "No young one, I am not psychic, for I simply felt the aura that surrounded you." He dug around the room until finding a ladle, and proceeded to search for an empty vial. Content with his choices, he filled the vial with the potion from the cauldron and handed it to you. "This shall help them heal quickly, and should take effect in a couple of days. If not, then please come back." He walked behind you, and placing his paws on your back, lead you out his door. "Also, if you or someone you know is interested in the study of the sorcerer, please don't hesitate to come and take up training."
He gave a sneaky smirk, and with that, the door slammed shut, leaving Alicii to his own world.

About Rinni.
Rinni is Alicii's youngest experiment. He came to be during an experiment in which Alicii was trying to bring upon life, which had obviously succeeded. Alicii still keeps a close eye on the young one until he knows the complete limitations and life span of the experiments. If the outcome is as he hopes it will be, it will break the boundaries of natural science.
