"Those who do not appreciate life do not deserve life.."

Here’s a story for everyone, listen closely.

I was a fifty-two year old successful civil engineer. I founded and dedicated my life to my business, Urban Renewal Group, which developed property for needy people, our motto was “Four walls build a home.” I will always remember the first building we built, I named it the Gideon Meatpacking Plant.

My life went up from there, I ended up marrying the love of my life Jill Tuck. With some help of my encouragement she opened up Homeward Bound Clinic, and ambulant recovery clinic for addicts. From there I became friends with William Easton, who owned Umbrella Health insurance company. He did some numbers and made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. I was skeptical at first, the offer he made basically put the life and death of my clients in his hands and ignored their will to live, none-the-less I became a client.

And then.. Jill became pregnant… it was a miracle. Just as I planned, my son will be born during the Chinese year of the pig. He wasn’t even born, and I already loved my son very much, we decided to name him Gideon, after the first building I built. I also obtained a wood workshop and surprised my lovely wife with two amazing gift I created myself. A bed for our unborn son, and a ventriloquist puppet. We were both so excited to welcome him into our lives.

As Jill’s pregnancy progressed, she continued to work at the clinic. I started to worry about her, there was an incident at the clinic one evening. Between two of her patients, Cecil Adams and Gus Colyard, I remember it as if it was yesterday. I had to separate them while they were in a brawl with each other, Cecil being the reckless person he was, pulled a knife on me from his pocket. I tried to calm him down and then he proceeded to ask me why I tried to intervene, I simply answered that he would soon become a problem for everyone around him due to his reckless behaviour. Cecil did eventually put the knife away, but I still worried for the safety of my wife and my unborn child.

I had a right to be worried when I was, because one night my nightmare became true. I sat in my car outside the clinic waiting for my wife, when I noticed Cecil frantically running out of the clinic and down the road. I became concerned and entered the building where I found my wife lying on the floor. She told me Cecil tried to rob her and in the dispute between them he accidentally slammed the doorknob into her stomach. I rushed her to the hospital, where the doctors were very quick to take them in and look after them. The doctors worked so hard, I know they did, but they could save the life of my unborn son…my boy…my Gideon.

After the death of my son, I spiralled into a depression. I wanted nothing to do with my wife or my business anymore. I just sat in my workshop most days, trying to escape the reality I faced. I had an unwanted visit from my wife and co-worker, and I just snapped. I told them both to leave, I was upset and wanted to be alone. I became so distant over that that I eventually divorced my wife, and I told her never to come back for me again.

As if things could not get any worse, I was feeling ill for some time. I decided to visit the Angel of Mercy Hospital, that is where Dr. Lawrence Gordon told me I had colon cancer and a frontal lobe tumour. Little did I know at an earlier appointment another doctor Logan Nelson made a careless mistake and inadvertently mixed up my x-rays with those of another patient, Alex Rubinstein. Which lead to the cancer being further evolved and no longer treatable at the time of its diagnosis, none-the-less I underwent numerous treatments. I had lots of support from the neighbours, which was nice, but the treatments were unsuccessful and my health further declined.

The odds were slim, but during that time I had learned about an experimental genetic therapy developed by a doctor in Norway. After contacting him, he believed I was a promising candidate for a new test series. It would be costly, but I turned to Umbrella Health insurance company which I became a client to earlier on. I asked if they’d bear the costs of the treatment, despite my efforts, all my requests were declined. I then went into William’s office to talk to him personally hoping he’d understand my situation. Wishful thinking, he declined my request again, stating it wasn’t financially feasible for Umbrella to accept my motion mainly due to my age and my small chances of recovery. I asked him if he thought that the living would have the ultimate judgment over him as the dead would have no claim over his soul, then I left his office.

After that, I went off the deep end, literally. I tried to end my life by driving my car off the cliff, now that I’m sitting here telling you my story, you know the attempt was unsuccessful. I was severely injured, but I crawled out of my car and took a piece of metal out of my body. At that moment I realized, I wanted to live, I learned to actually cherish my life when my death had been imminent. At that time, I decided to spend the remaining days of my life teaching others this lesson, testing their will to live, in order to convince them, to value their lives and the lives of those around them.

I began to focus on the lives of others, and observed that Cecil Adams life hadn’t changed he was still the same reckless idiot I remembered, and with this… he became my first test subject. I followed him for some time, observing him and prepared myself and the lesson I was bound to teach him. When the time had come, I followed Cecil to a Chinese street festival in celebration of the year of the pig. I grabbed a pig mask to cover my face as well a second mask, which I filled with a cloth drenched in chloroform. Then, I pursued Cecil and sedated him in the crowd without anyone noticing. After that, I took him to my workshop and strapped him to a chair with two blades that impaled his wrists.

This is where it get’s interesting, when Cecil woke up, he panicked because he saw the blades before him. When he realized I was also in the room, he begged me to let him go and asked for forgiveness for Gideon's death. I told him I already forgave him for my son’s death, I only put him in this situation in order to help him to change his life. I finally explained to him my device I had him in, there were eight sharp knives, I explained him this will save his life. I bolted it to the chair, so the eight horizontally arranged knives were positioned right in front of his face. I explained that he had to press his face into the knives in order to free himself from his arm and leg restraints, as otherwise, he'd simply bleed to death. He was not content with this, he started to scream, I ignored his efforts. He eventually learned I was not going to let him go, so he pressed his face into the knives. The chair collapsed, freeing Cecil, then he made his biggest mistake. Cecil then grabbed a broken piece of the chair and charged at me, I evaded his attack which lead him to falling into a pit of razor wire, he ultimately bled to death. I then retrieved him from the pit, and cut a jigsaw piece from his neck and disposed of the corpse.

Later, the cops discovered the body, and the jigsaw piece missing from the victim, where I then recieved the name “The Jigsaw Killer”… I am.. the Jigsaw Killer..

I am...John Kramer
