The name's Kitty Pryde, youngest X-Men and resident whiz kid. I've been an X-Man since I was thirteen. I'm 15 now, so I'm a veteran on this hero team. I've always gotten along with people older than me better than kids my own age, so it was easy for me to fit in with the senior team.

My power is the ability to phase through anything, which essentially means I can move my atoms through the spaces between atoms of other objects, so I can walk through walls. On a molecular level, the space between atoms is extremely vast, and I just squeeze myself between those gaps. I short out electrical equipment when I do it, too, and I can phase other people with me if I concentrate hard enough. It's a more defensive power than offensive, and to use it effectively I have to be able to think on my feet. So it helps that I'm a genius!

I'm not a great people person when it comes to my peers, so the only friends I have my own age are Illyana, my roommate and the little sister of my crush, and Doug Ramsey, a boy I met in Salem Center who's now a New Mutant.

The X-Men are my best friends and my family. The Professor is like a parent to me, and Ororo is like a second mom. Kurt's my goofy older brother. Wolverine is like the uncle who rides up for Chanukah on a motorcycle. And Peter... Well, he's not like a brother, that's for sure.

I'd do anything to keep my family safe, so don't mess with us.
