Dalisse was born human in a small town in the French countryside. He's a bit of a country boy at heart but he moved into the city when he was sixteen, upon the death of his parents.

I still miss them.

Dalisse had no choice but to rapidly learn to be street smart. He fell into a rough crowd, made all the wrong decisions, but eventually came out of it a much better and wiser person. At age nineteen he stumbled into the Subetan world and chose to make it his home. At age twenty, when exploring the Shadowglen, Dalisse was attacked and captured by an unknown man.

I don't understand. Who were you?

The man took him to Riot-Tech headquarters (see Riot's story), but when Dalisse finally came to he was lying in the middle of Shinwa's Temple in the sacred lands. Daley found him there. Dalisse knew as soon as he awoke that something had changed. His hearing was keener, as was his sense of smell. He also realised he could run faster and jump higher. His balance improved. He and Daley became friends as soon as Dalisse told Daley about having been inside Riot-Tech. Apparently she had dealt with them before, and as such she watched his changes with growing concern.

"Because a real friend does." I remember her saying. Always there for me.

Whilst on an outing through the Arctic Frosts land, Daley and Dalisse were attacked by a wild glacier Dillema. Unarmed, and with Daley's team lagging behind, the duo were desperate for salvation. It was then that Dalisse discovered he could switch forms. Upon watching Daley being pinned to the ground by the creature, Dalisse sprung forward, transforming mid-air into a glacier kumos. He fought off the Dillema with ease. Both Daley and Dalisse were initially uncertain as to whether Dalisse could return to his human form, but over time he learned to switch between them on command. Neither are sure whether Dalisse's powers are the result of scientific experiment or magic. Daley worries, as this sort of experiment doesn't seem to be the usual style of the Riot-Tech corporation, but without knowing exactly what happened, there doesn't seem to be anywhere else to lay the blame. For now, at age twenty-four, Dalisse is simply getting on with life and trying to become accustomed to his forever emerging powers. Beyond his transformation capabilities, Dalisse seems to have an influential power. Although his personality was stubborn to start with, he seems to truly be able to sway the feelings of others when he chooses to. As a result, he is excellent at cheering people up and resolving arguments. He and Daley have an agreement that he is never to use this upon her though. Like his brother Lasair, also a victim of Riot-Tech, Dalisse constantly feels that something unpleasant is rising from the ashes. Whether this is foresight or just coincidence he does not know. What he does know is that he will stand and fight with his family.
