Satisfy Me.
“Welcome to thah Red Dog, where we’ah sure to keep you satisfied.†The female voice was rich, deep, and cloaked in years of living on a continent far from the one on which she currently resided. Her accent sung of Africa and smoothed her words as they carried across the clinking and bustling about at the bar. Somehow, like magic, she could always be heard.
She flashed a small smile, just interested enough in the incoming customer to draw him in, closer to what few open bar stools were left, and, catching his eye, let her own golden ones close in a fluttering wink. She watched the newcomer glance around the old saloon-styled building, debating his choices. There was something he wanted, be it information, product, or conversation, there always was. And if he got it too soon, he’d leave just as quickly. “So, what can ah do ya for?â€
Like a spell, her calm, smooth voice weakened him, forcing him to give in to the padded wooden barstool, and as he sat, she finally gave him her full attention. “That’s bettah, isn’t it? We have all kinds o’ good drink on tap, but you ought to look at ouah othah menus.†Now that he was here, she could work any angle she’d like. She leaned over the bar, just enough to let the dark skin above her bosom show from beneath her many strange necklaces. As she did, she let her back sink in and her hips push out -- a little show for the rest of the onlookers. She always did have onlookers, even if they attempted subtlety.
She had always been the whole package, the beauty, the brains, the charm. But only two of those things had ever really paid the bills, and neither of them were her brains. All the better for it, though, for the things she kept sealed in her mind were her most valuable of assets, no matter what anyone told her. They know nahthing of me. Ah am what they most feah, and they can’t tell the difference between me and any othah girl, she would tell herself, twisting one of her elbow-length dreads a little tighter. Pathetic!

And Her Name Was I'Satta
Red Dog, Black Cat
Imprisoning souls in dolls? Such powah in so young a child... And, oh, the things I could teach someone like you... and here I thought ouah kind had died out.
As you wish, nurse. As for da girl? She helps me brew da specialties.
No one turns me down and escapes unscathed, doctah. I'll make your life a living nightmare!
Careful what you wish for... things in this town aren't ever as they seem...
I hear talk you're still alive, 'Fifteen.' Drop by the Red Dog, it's been... centuries.
What you're asking for is beyond my scope, boy. Find out for yourself if the rumors about Fifteen are true, and you may have more luck.
Heh, oh doctah, ya know ah always deliver. And as for your "Master," do tell him Ah'm grateful.
