In a world where accidents happen at the drop of a pin, no one wants to see a loved one go before they've lived a long, full life. While some are against this artificial war against the natural order of things, those with excess funds can purchase the ultimate health insurance: Dr. Leonard Beckham, a genius scientist and theorist discovered a way to elongate life and ultimately replace a deceased individual with an organic copy. Crazy, yes, but that is what Dr. Beckham specializes in. At the young age of 18 he graduated from his university with honors and went on to revolutionize the field of genetic engineering. By age 20 he had perfected and patented the process of creating biological clones in a lab and fitting them to replace a deceased individual. Of course everyone was skeptical at first, but they knew that if anyone could do it, Leonard could. As he tried to explain it in layman's terms, the ever cocky Kumos can be quoted...

"Really, it's not that complicated. All you do is either from birth or whenever you feel the need for a little extra insurance insert one of my specialized microchips into the patient's brain. Barely intrusive, doesn't feel a thing, completely hygienic, through the nose and all that, yeah? From there the chip will record every brain wave and pattern currently being registered as well as scanning through the brain for previous information. This is all nicely compressed and sent to my lab where I keep all these...memories, if you will, on file. Think of this as similar to...backing up your computer. Honestly, it's so simple I'm surprised no one's thought of it before! But I digress. Moving on, if at any point down the road the patient is, er, offed, I will begin speedily constructed an exact genetic clone in my lab. Just like cooking! The rate I can develop the replica is quite astounding, barely any time at all. So once our little doppelganger is ready for the world I will suit them up with the original patient's brain scans and ship them off to your home to be lovingly reunited! Of course, the patient will have absolutely no memory of what happened or their death. Just every thing the original felt, thought, memorized, and went through. It's recommended that upon delivery you allow them to naturally wake up in their bed, it's a lot easier that way. They'll feel like they took a nap and awake fresh and alive as ever!"
