The ever changing days of spring were just about over. The flower buds were bursting, full of beautiful petals that reached out of their tight, dark leaves, searching for warmth and sunlight. The forest would soon be full of color and life. Violla opened her eyes drowsily as she lay in the bright green grass. She smiled, hmm, some ivy and moss would be nice. Even as she thought it little tendrils began to spill up the side of the nearby trees; the dark green a pretty contrast on the sunny day.

She walked slowly back to the cottage enjoying the crisp breezy day. The birds were chirping and the little critters of the forest were happily going about their business. Bird seed had been left out for them earlier in the morning and many were enjoying their lunch. She soaked up the aura of nature, letting it wash over her with it's happy growing vibes.

"Mom! Mom!"

A chorus of little voices reached her ears soon followed by all three of her children. They tumbled over each other, excited, and panting.

"We got the apples!"

"I got green ones!"

"Mine are red with pink and they're the sweetest!"

"Can we make the pie now?! When will it be done?! My apples are the best right?!"

She laughed and wrapped her arms around as many of them as she could as they giggled and squirmed away. "We'll use all of them! It will be the best apple pie ever!"

The kids cheered and they all headed towards the cottage. Maebel was talking excitedly about which frilly apron she was going to wear. Her twin brother Mullberry was chatting about what else they could add- caramels, sprinkles, and chocolate chips. Her youngest, Sweetpeas, was nodding enthusiastically. She looked up at her mom, smiled her big toothy smile, (she was missing a baby tooth in the front), and said one word, "Gummy-worms," before going back to chewing on her tattered rainbowcorn stuffy. Violla smiled, well, it would certainly be a memorable pie.

Violla once lived in the woods but now resides at the cottage with her hubby Ambrose, an ambitious and beautiful winged foxcat, and also their three boisterous children. At first she had discouraged Amb's affection, she'd been used to a quiet, solitary life, but eventually his sweet and loyal demeanor won her over. He's intelligent, handsome, thoughtful, and has a delightful way with words. He's a great husband and father. She loves her precious family more than anything.

Violla is a Spring Summoner. In the fall her coat changes to a reddish orange with the season and she spends time making sure that her plants are all tucked in for the winter. In the winter her coat is the same lovely shade of blue-white as the snow. In the springtime she helps to wake her precious forest once more. Her heavy white fur will shed, giving the birds and squirrels soft bedding for their nests, as the color of her lush coat turns the gentle green and soft violet of heather. Soon enough she is the deep green of summer grass freckled with purple viola's once more.
