The spring was just about over. The buds were just starting to burst forth and soon the forest would be full of flowers. Violla opened her pink rosey eyes drowsily as she lay in the bright sunlight in the inner wall of the 'Library' as everyone called it. It was an old building made of grey stone blocks and before long there would be ivy climbing up it's sides. Although she'd have to make sure it wouldn't do any structural damage. She smiled, hmm, some moss would be nice too. Even as she thought it little tendrils began to spill up the side of the great stone building; the dark green a pretty contrast on the sunny day. She closed her eyes again.

The birds were chirping and the little critters of the forest were happily going about their business, many of them coming into the stone walled courtyard to partake of the seeds that Bespelled had left out for them earlier in the morning. She soaked up the aura of nature, letting it wash over her with it's happy grow-grow-grow greeness. Now this was perfection! This was life at it's best!

Violla is a Nature Spirit. She is connected to the glade into which she was born as a beautiful little flowering Viola plant. She was special though and a happy tiny fairy blessed her so that she could walk among the flowers and tend for them and the beautiful glade that she lived in. She is most powerful and visible in the forest while it is summer. In the fall her coat changes with the season and she spends time making sure that her plants are all tucked in for the winter. For her, much of winter is spent curled up asleep while the snow falls, and her coat is the same lovely shade of bluewhite. Ever since the Keep was deserted she has been wintering there. The re-discovery and occupation of it was surprising but also wonderful. In the spring time she will slowly wake up going out every once in a while to check on the weather and her plants to judge when it would be best to wake them. Her heavy white fur will shed, giving the birds and squirrels soft bedding for their nests, as the color of her coat becomes lush and turns the bright green of new buds. Soon enough she is the deep green of summer grass once more.

One winter years ago she was sleeping in her attic nest in the abandoned Keep while a snowstorm raged outside. Oblivious, she dreamed. The snow sent debris and branches everywhere, effectively sealing her in darkness throughout the winter. When spring came she slept on, unaware of the sun and the world awaiting her return. All of the windows and holes had been covered. Luckily, the Keep became inhabited by a magician. The magician found her sleeping place and he woke her just in time to free the flowers from their buds.

She now resides at the manor with the magician Bespelled, Keets- an ambitious and beautiful winged foxcat- and now her husband, and also their three boisterous children. At first she discouraged Keet's affection but eventually his sweet and loyal demeanor won her over. He's intelligent and has a delightful way with words, which excites her ancient mind, not something that happens very often. She loves her precious family more than anything.
