The onset of the second galactic war – now widely known as The Foundling War – left Ral an orphan on the planet Evros at the age of six. Just before his teenage years, he was rather forcibly carried off by the Garuda, a deep-space pirate vessel of dubious reputation, where he eventually clawed his way up to a respectable rank.

Pretty though he might be on the outside, Ral possesses a single-minded ruthlessness and has no qualms over using his appearance to his advantage. There is very little that he won't do for his own gain – and absolutely nothing that he won't do for his continued survival.
