Wildflowers Don't Care Where They Grow

Gifts the wildflowers that grow upon her.

Small green stems erupted from Tallaluh's horns on the eve of her first birthday. She went crying to her mother, worrying that her horns had gotten infected. They didn't have the appearance of an infection, but her mother wasn't sure what was happening. None of the other bovynes in their herd had seen this before either.

The following morning, tiny leaves uncurled themselves from the lengthening stems. They fluttered in the wind as she trotted. A few of the neighboring Sheetas tried to graze on them. Tallulah felt it like a sharp pinch. Ouch!
