a devoted wifeguy and impulsive idiot that developed cannibalistic tendencies after accidentally getting himself turned into a werebeast, eliam has made many poor decisions in his life. his wife lujei has stayed at his side through it all, sometimes against her better judgment. they are irrevocably in love and would do anything for each other.

he has a daughter that takes after him an unfortunate amount. she inherited his ADHD, werebeast bullshit, and low IQ.

notes:
- tied to the god of darkness, xothos, after unintentionally making a pact with them. his wish was to be bigger and stronger so that he could protect his wife, and it was fulfilled but came with unexpected side effects; his body began to change and he became a werebeast.
- inhumanly strong and durable, and can transform into a beast most reminiscent of a carnivorous hippo with some wolfish traits.
- despite his history and capacity for ruthlessness, eli is a fairly easygoing and agreeable guy. he doesn't have any delusions about being a good person and he gave up on trying to 'redeem' himself -- he isn't going to do anything heroic -- but he has a much better handle on his predatory instincts, and significantly better impulse control, than he did when he was younger.
- can be very easily won over with food; eli is a bottomless pit
- kind of goofy and ridiculous. whenever he sees his teenage daughter she is very embarrassed by him and he can't figure out how to not be embarrassing ):
- prone to bouts of body dysmorphia, due largely to his body having been radically changed by magic and becoming a shifter as an adult

Design

- the most immediately noticeable thing about eli is that he is freakishly, inhumanly large, standing at around 8 feet tall and weighing well over 700 pounds. he was originally 5'6" and his insecurity over his body led him to include his desire to be larger and taller as part of his wish, which he now regrets. he is very much a case of 'be careful what you wish for'.
- unless he's actively trying to intimidate someone, eli tends to hunch in on himself and slouch to try to seem less imposing, but he's so huge that it doesn't have much effect. his posture is pretty terrible.
- he has prominent, sharp canine teeth
- always wears very simple, loose clothing
