@Harpie, I agree. 4-5 choices at a time and when we click neither give us more choices instead of just waiting another round. I have a feeling that a lot of entries placed lower mainly because they weren't shown as much. I only saw maybe 2-3 of the top 10 during the whole week of voting. It would be nice if there was a way to make sure all entries are seen equally as much, to be fair.

I think it's weird you guys never saw any of the top 10. I'm pretty sure I saw at least half if not more and also voted for them too. -shrug-

I do however think that next year they should try 4 entries, along with a none of the above option, just so more avatars have a higher chance of being seen.

When voting ended, before results were posted the contest page said "We are now judging the costumes, and the winners will be posted soon!" (Direct quote c&p from there.)

What does that mean? Weren't we (the players) the judges? Or was there judging behind the scenes after we were all finished voting? idgi

I'm on Page 21, 4th best Micheal Jackson outfit (the best one I actually could've pulled off, which makes me upset in a ironic way...no big deal), but I'll say this: I only saw about 10% of the people who got in the top 100 places, if not less. But the winners are SO different from the EpicCon winners, that it's hard to say if this voting method was better or worse then EpicCon. The EpicCon was good cause you can see more of the contestants at one time. What would be neat is to do a vote of the people who did the same all in one spot.

Good results anyway, I like my prize, cool Wig.

wow slightly surprised I was #165 xD but awesome job on some of the costumes, I debated doing davy jones but the JAR OF DIRT item was too costly :<
and some of the ppl did really good costumes but didn't get top 100, made me sad ;<

I really don't get what people are talking about. There are no bad entries in the top 10 or even top 100. Lots of Harry Potter characters, Jokers and Disney villain doubles. It's nice to see several different takes on the same character though.

I do think there should have been more to the contest, though. Voting between two at first is a good idea. But there should have been another phase to vote for the people with more votes in the first round. I'm just saying, sometimes I had a choice between a 'meh' costume and a pile of vomit, so obviously I am going to vote for the 'meh' one. Sure, I could skip voting, but if I did I would have rarely voted <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_raspberry.gif" border="0" /> (I didn't enter the contest, for what it's worth)

I especially love the oompa loompa and the headless horseman. XD Buuut yeah, I don't know about this system. Forcing you to pick between 2 that are often equally good or equally bad is not as accurate as letting you choose one (or.. maybe more than one?) from many, where there is always bound to be at least one you really like.
