I’ve spent a lot of time tr-r-rying to make heads or-r tails of this book, but it’s no use, we’r-r-re going to have to get it tr-r-ranslated. I talked to the Element Mage but he says he specializes in Ancient Saher-r-ric and doesn’t recognize this dialect at all!
It wasn’t a total waste, though! He pointed me to towar-r-rd Alexander-r-r at the Centr-ropolis Public Libr-rar-ry. He has access to all kinds of ancient texts and is quite a collector-r-r fr-rom what I under-r-r-rstand.
Hmm, I wonder-r-r if he had a copy of this book all along? Wouldn’t that be embar-r-r-rassing?

when i saw this post i was like 'i wonder if alexander is getting a revamp soon' ohhh my god. he is precious.
For those having trouble with the translation, there is a topic under the Faded Memories forum with the exact text.
This part was fun ^_^ The translation part was tricky: I had flashbacks to a similar step in the Tempest plot XD

I've got a major headache. I'm SO SURE I got the right translation, I've checked 3 times now! But nothing's working.
Ps; I like that this is the same language we had to translate last time. I remembered the R's! That continuity is pretty badass

A lot of the symbols are similar to the Korean alphabet and it's messing with my head :(
I enjoyed this plot step way more than all the others. It's nice putting a little thought into it instead of pressing a few buttons. Also enjoyed Alexander's revamp!!
If you're still having trouble with the code, check it thoroughly with the one in the plot topic. It took me four or five checks, and more before I checked the topic, to realize that I was missing a single N.
Would anyone be willing to help me out with the translations through a PM? D: I've tried literally everything I can think of and I'm still wrong.

@honeybunney2001328 - Alexander should start giving you riddles in haiku form, and you track down the NPCs they relate to.
This was my favorite step so far. It feels like an old-school Neopets plot step. :D The only change I would make would be to link back to Alexander from each of the other NPCs to avoid that "wait, what do I do now?" feeling.
