Snowman Building Contest
HELLO AGAIN, everyone! We’re back in the snolympics! We can never resist a good snow-themed competition, but this year we decided to put our competitive natures aside and make OTHER people battle for the win! Nothing like a little team spirit, am I right?
Oh Tobi, you’re such a goof. Gosh it’s freezing. Was it this freezing last year? Anyway, we’ve called together some of our fellow shopkeepers and mischief makers to take part in this little competition. Obviously we’d love for EVERYONE IN THE WORLD to build snowmen, but there’s just not enough room for you all in Peka Park!
So instead, you can pick a team to support! Pick a team and help them build the biggest and best snowman. There are five teams in all, and you can donate snow as well as food, drink and warm clothes to help them and keep up their morale once the competition starts! You’ll get a participation prize for your team, a pet slot, and for taking part at all you’ll get a special ice skin, courtesy of Aspen! If you can’t decide which participation prize you want, don’t worry - Saggitarius has kindly offered to stock them in his Millionaire Centre after the competition.
The winning team’s supporters will get a forum title and a special prize, as well as a cool new trophy for their profiles.
Unlike last year's snowball fight, there won't be any individual prizes after the fact; this competition is a team affair!
Team signups start now and will close on Monday at 12 noon. You can still participate from the sidelines after that and receive Aspen’s ice skin, but you will no longer be eligible for winning or the team participation prize.

So excited for this!! It was really hard to choose, but I'm going with team Nature afterall.
I seriously can't choose between Team Sibling and Team Mischief... Why'd there have to be so many teams? It's impossible to choose.

I'm torn. I love Team Nature but the Team Stick Together prize is so much cooler and is more nature-fitting. I want that bleeding mushroom foreground. Why oh why.
Does anyone know if we can use the items from those shops that we have in our vaults or must we buy from those shops
Just to clarify, any items from the shops will count? So if I donate purely The Bake Shop or Icy Goods or Get Mugged items that is the same equivalence as snowballs?
So i don't know if this has been answered, but can only items from those shops be donated? How does that work? I don't want to hoard the wrong things.

I really love how participation prizes are being handled this year, the team prizes are all so lovely I wouldn't be able to choose, but I'm glad to hear we can buy them afterwards. I can't believe a participation prize is a pet slot, that's fantastic :D

From the comments, it seems like Nature and Mischief are the two popular teams, Stick Together being third.... and I've seen very little of BFFs & even less of Sibling.... but, I wanna go for Team Sibling D; ANYONE ELSE TEAM SIBLING? Those two are adorably out of their element. I'm a sucker for the underdogs.
Ah I just discovered that the snowball shop has changed. 5K for 1 snowball, seriously? Why can't we buy batches of 25 like last time if there's going to be a competition. Wow, that's 5 times the price they were selling for yesterday. :(

I see the bird lady is missing from the park for now, guess she'll be back after the snow is gone. Then again not sure what the point is in looking for more birds once you get the achievement unless they're going to add tiers. This looks like fun. Team Mischief, of course. :D
Ahhh! Who to choose! It's so difficult! They're all so great and cute and you just can't tell what each team's "snowman" will be! I wish it'd start sooner, but I understand giving everyone a chance to join!
