Who's That Subeta Pet?
We love when our users are able to be involved in the lore-building of Subeta. To that end, we'd like you to help out with the naming of a new pet species! The big reveal will be coming soon, but for now we're giving you the silhouette and some color palettes that we're using, as well as the following short description:
This pet comes from Shengui Guo and is quite large. It is gentle and wise, and has a strong connection to dreams and tea leaves. It has a long nose, tusks, and a mane that flows like it's made of spirit energy.
So let's hear your name ideas! Visit THIS FORUM THREAD to give your suggestions. Staff will pick out our 10 favourites (sorry Phanty McPhantface) and will put them in a poll for users to vote on. The winning name will become the new pet species name!
We'll stop taking suggestions on the forum thread on May 31st at 11:59PM - and the poll will be up a few days later once we've had a chance to go through the names. Now get your naming caps on!

Ahh!! My first thought was that this would be some kind of foo-dog type thing, and then I re-read it and saw the long nose bit. But still :^) THE EXCITEMENT
Aaaaah a new species! I'm so stoked. I really hope it's a baku or something similar.

There are so many baku-inspired names on that thread, but we already have the bhakoru. Let's not do baku. :P
I'm not sure if I'll be able to come up with anything but oh my goodness this pet sounds absolutely and completely marvelous and I am SO EXCITED.
I love the idea of more Shengui Guo, and another new pet is great! But I have to say, my favorite thing about this cutie-to-be is the color scheme. Man that is freaking gorgeous. I can't wait to see the final reveal just to see how those colors go together!
I also thought it might be a lion before I realized it was probably an elephant.
I'd definitely have to see the full lineart to even try coming up with a species name though. ^.^

Oh, that is most certainly a baku. I'll leave this to someone who is Japanese and can decide on what a good alternative name would be.
