Various parts of the site have been changed to reflect the new item mouse-over effect. This is going to be tweaked and changed, and moved around site-wide over the next few days.
Hopefully, you'll soon be able to gather all the data you need from an item by just hovering over it :)
Note: If you are having trouble getting this, or the new user-mouseovers to work, hold Ctrl on your keyboard, and press F5. This will reload the javascript libraries that were updated today :) If that doesn't work, clear ALL cache and temporary files - and it will defiantly reload.
PS: This is NOT SITEWIDE yet. At the moment this only works on select parts of the site, and is being extended over the next few days.

this won't have any effect on the item identifier, as the item you're shown is not the site-wide item (otherwise you could check the image url and get the answer!). and to all those saying it's not working in such-and-such place yet, the news states the effect will be site-wide "over the next few days" - be patient!

Hmm perhaps there's something weird with your Firefox settings... I've never had trouble with trades or forums loading for me in Firefox, although I've heard others do.

Nothing happens when I hover over items in Firefox. But than again both trades and subeta forums won't work for me in Firefox either.

It isn't working in galleries.. I just tested it in my gallery.
I noticed earlier today it isn't working in recent trades either. Nor is it working in pet treasures either.. These are 3 places I would love to see it work in since that's where I mainly search item desc etc..

It works with Firefox, too! Yay! I used to see the item description when I moused over things in trades with IE, but it didn't work with Firefox. It seems to now, though. Thanks!

The border is really big, but it's not annoying. Actually, it'll be helpful those mornings I can't quite wake up and can't see a darn thing. lol.
I personally believe that the text as the Item Name/Title or whatever is too large. That my only complaint, and just my opinion, though XD I love the concept, though. Brilliant!

keith - i dunno, maybe its just my browser xD the font is too big for the heading, and its kinda just a bit dodgy when i hover from one item to the next. it makes a clicky noise and they kinda flash as im hovering over them o_O lawl xD

Omg, this is pretty cool, except for ONE THING. I'd be mostly using it on cool items that randomly appear in the top-right of my screen, to find out what they are. Is it possible for you guys to add the URL to the image in that box also, and make it not disappear when you hover away? XD That way, you can copy the code instead of having to click on properties and doing it that way.
