Changes is a good thing =D It would be boring if it always stayed the same. But I guess that's just my opinion And I've never seen another site looking like that?

Oh, one tiny thing. The 'users joined today' bit is a little awkward, because the 'today' moves onto the next line, under the number of total users.

Awesome!

I do like change but...

The text is cramped and is difficult to read. For me it's getting lost in the blue. It bothers me that with a new welcome page, the FAQ still is not updated/accesible. That is one of the first links I tend to review before going any further. For those that need parental permission, this is key information that may help a parent decide if they want their child to have membership here.

Could the news 'box' size be increased - at all? It looks bare, that there's not much going on here and we know that's not true. Maybe include 1 - 2 recent news posts and fill the extra space with more new items and cash shop goodies. Or maybe feature a 'main shop' for a few days or on a weekly basis.

The rotating human avatar is a real pleasing addition ~ great idea you've implemented.

If the HAs shown are actual HAs, I'd also like to see the name of who it is.

I LOVE the random HA, don't change it please! Its perfect, maybe make it so when you scroll over the HA, you can see who's name it is, or link to that person's profile.

Ha ha, for a sec when I came here again, I thought I was at the wrong site.
Nice ... though i would love some colors other than green and blue
It looks great I love the random human avatar thingy ^^ Maybe there should be displayed the name of the user who owns the HA too? Would be cool to see people you know xD And I hope there will be more than just the Kanis picture. Will you make that random too, so that if I refresh the picture changes? Great job.

Awesome! It's pretty. Love the graphics.
Hm, shouldn't you guys update the stuff in CS onto the page? The mysterious floral bags are no longer in CS.

I actually found the old one less confusing. The New Items section is kinda pointless; almost every time new items are released, it's in batches of the same thing in a dozen different colors anyway (like the shoes showing up there now), and how is that going to attract new players? And there appears to be no particular organization to the links in the bottom section at all. It's all exact replicas of links found 2 inches to the left in the main menu anyway; what's the point?

But if nothing else, couldn't you at least have kept the randomized banner script? It's sad to think of all the varied and unique pet species on Subeta, and then have only the one that looks most like a generic real-life animal show up on the index page that's supposed to attract new users. If I were looking for a new virtual pet site to call home, I'd be looking for a pet with a little more originality to it than a rabbit.

Also, I just came across a naked HA on the home page. Doesn't bother me, but you know how people can be.

I think we need like a set 20 HA's that you guys have saved that just change. That way there's no hideous ones and no naked ones. XD

I'm curious where the HAs at the bottom of the screen come from... are they randomly generated? Is there a pool of premades that are choosen from? Are they actual user avatars? Inquiring minds want to know!

Meh. I liked it the way it was
Change is good, but maybe you could keep just a simple news update underneath somewhere? Not sure how to word it ^^;
It does look nice though.

The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that it's pulling random avatars. Let's face it, some of us out there have some monstrosities for HA's. New users might be like WTF? O.O
Much better, more profesionnal and less cluttered.
A suggestion would be to have the HA on the front page YOURS, if you're LOGGED IN.

Love the layout but change the Kanis to a Kumos. Also the Nightmare Kanis might scare away some of the new members or people who are just visiting the site.

But so far everything is great!

I think it's amazing. o__o I love the Nightmare Kanis in green next to the Common one. It's a nice colorscheme, overall. X3

I think maybe it should say. . "### users joined today" rather than "### joined users today". The wording sounds awkward. or even "### users registered today" would work.

I don't like it all that much :/

It's too showy and new looking, it kinda kills the whole "simple but fun" thing I think subbie rocks for... but I suppose, just don't make the rest of it too flashy, please. x3

Too many Kanis. Let's see the official Subeta Pet, the Kumos, or maybe a less popular one? The Kanis is popular already.

It looks good! A lot better than other petsites.
I like the random HAs when you refresh, that's pretty cool. Also, the blue hover for the Shops, games, and forums is pretty slow to react. Idk if that's because it's javascript, and you guys are using one of the more complicated ways of coding that?

I rather like it, especially the header! I agree it's not necessarily less cluttered, but it definitely looks sleeker I too am wondering if the displayed HAs are mock ones or random users...
Actually, looking at it again, it's not bad. I can see how it would be better for new people joining.... and clicking the 'news' button isn't hard
I hope it works better in Firefox - guess I'll find out when I get home from work. In IE, on this huge screen, the whole home page layout appears to be waaaayyy down the page below the left hand menu bar, and a lot of what appear to be links aren't clickable.

The Trades link on the home page isn't working. Might want to fix that!
It doesn't really flow with the rest of the page though. We should get a newer/fitting/nicer layout.
Sure there may be a few flaws, but overall its rather great!
