Just moments ago, convention officials announced the opening of a Cosplay Contest that will be taking place next week. The reaction from fans was immediate, with many rushing to don their handmade costumes and submit their entries before the lines get too long. Why, twice already I've been complimented on my "excellent" news reporter outfit!
If any of you are attending the convention and wish to enter, you have until Sunday at midnight to get your costumes together, as judging begins first thing on Monday.

But yikes, this is really hard as a zombie... Would there be any way to have us zombies able to use normal skin bases for this contest only? Or should we just stick to using makeups, peculiar petri dish, etc.

For those who don't know: It's a dress up contest. Usually at comic book convention, like the famous Comic Con in LA or Dragon Con in Atlanta, folks dress up as just about anything. Comic book characters, anime/magna characters, video game characters and movie and TV show (especially sci-fi or fantasy. Think Star Wars, Star Trek, LOTR, etc) characters are the most popular, but not the only ones. Literary figures are popular too. Look up comic con, or cosplay to get ideas. Altho if you look up cos play you will get a LOT more of anime/magna than anything else. Try deviantart too. Basically pick your favorite character and go for it.

I really wish we could re-enter or change our entry if we change our avatar. I found a better skirt to use and I wanted to change my entry ;A;
Well, I finally signed up as Aeon from Castlevania: Judgement. Couldn't do the one that I wanted, because I couldn't get the face-paint that I needed. XP

As long as people who are entering characters from more unknown works also submit those ref pics, I think the voting will be mostly based on quality.
I'm not going to vote for a crappy Harry Potter or Misty just because I like/know those characters.

Never done cosplay and none of the names of characters or stories I see posted here have I ever even heard of before. So don't think I'll enter this, don't really know what to do. But it sounds like it will be fun for the rest of you so good luck.
