Thorpe: Greetings, Subeta, I am Inspector Thorpe of the Ziara City Police Department. Delightful evening, isn't it? I was on my holidays in Veta this week when I got the strangest call to my personal telephone. It appears I will be lengthening my stay here, as a certain Alegarten…that is, "Neugarten" figurehead has been causing a bit of a stir, and things possibly aren't what they seem to be. I'm going to be making some inquiries, looking around for some evidence, I expect this will be a long and tiring case that will take many days if not months to fully understand, I'm not sure my-

Inspector Thorpe is interrupted by Gunter.

Gunter: Inspector Thorpe, I am glad to see you here. I have a grave confession that I need to make. Something that has been haunting me for many years now, und I have come to realize that there is only one thing I can do that will make it right. Well, it won't make it right, but it is what is deserved. I'd like to confess to the murder of my brother, Burkhart Brauer.

Thorpe: Well, it seems I've cracked the case! I mean, is that right, son? If you'd like to come with me, we'll go down to the local station and go through some questioning and get this all written down. It's nice to have a break from work but it's even nicer to close a case! Now, follow me this way-

Inspector Thorpe is interrupted again by a suave official-looking gentleman.

Cardale: Hello, Inspector. I'll be taking it from here. We've had our eye on this man for a while, and we'll be taking him back with us.

Thorpe: What the wizard! Taking my case from me? I'm not sure I'm happy about this, who are you anyway?

Cardale: Cardale. Jack Cardale. I'm with the SAI. We have a high security detention facility up in the Arctic Frost, and this is a little out of your jurisdiction, wouldn't you say? I can't promise he'll be comfortable there, but he'll have plenty of time to do a lot of thinking. Good work, Inspector. You're doing a fine job.

The inspector huffs and puffs but accepts.

Gunter: Thorpe, can you give this to my niece, Anne? She works at Quick Bites. She needs to read this. I think she may already know a lot of it, but I need to tell her the whole story.

Inspector: Hmm, I suppose a nice meal wouldn't go amiss.

Cardale: It's doubtful you'll find one at Quick Bites, Inspector. And I'll be taking a photo copy of that letter before you go.

Batista is a confident and charming stall holder over on the Delphi Carnival Pier, always beaming and willing to start up a fast-paced (and often one-sided) conversation. If you get pulled in, you might find you're all of a sudden in the middle of one of his ploys and you're not quite sure how but you're parting with your money and all the while with a smile on your face.

He's all ruse and it doesn't seem as if anything could shake his confidence. But there is one thing that truly wipes the smile from his face, and if you can find it and unlock Batista as a challenger be prepared for the trickiest battle you could face!

Never have you seen such an expression on a legeica as on the spectrum and blacklight legeica! The usually reserved creature is practically goofy with excitement! I'm sure it will calm down in a moment, don't fret. Or maybe look into purchasing a larger paddock for your own one so it can release all that energy?

Note: The darkmatter kerubi has been slightly altered to have darker stripes and an expression to closer match the old one after some user feedback. There are some problems with the cache right now, so if you don't see the black stripes now then check again later.

We've also slightly altered the storm fester to remove some of the cloud from behind its head, and thinned out the lineart on the angelic feli. Just a few touch ups we found the time for! Thanks for your continued support!

Superstitious? Me? Don't be ridiculous. I don't believe in that kinda stuff. Luck is a fancy conjured up by those who aren't skilled enough to get by in life. Bad luck, ha! Losing streaks are just coincidence. I'm not worried. What am I on now? 12? Or…no don't tell me. I don't care, I don't worry, old Batista here bringing you the fun and the dice, ready ready ready for anything! Did I hear a meow? No, keep your eyes on the prize! How many eyes? Snake eyes. 13 eyes. 13? I'm not going to lose. Keep the cat away from me, I just don't like them, ok? I JUST DON'T LIKE THEM!

Batista is a talkative trickster, ever confident in his abilities and never one to not keep his smile if somebody beats him. He knows it won't be long before he's winning again. He tells himself that he knows, because if he lets the other voice in, the voice that whispers 13 times and he's out, he's a fool. Only a fool could believe in bad luck, superstition. But Batista dreams of a dark creature, a creature that has come to take his world away with one roll of the dice. Cat got your tongue? Cat got your luck? Don't think about it. Don't worry. Don't step on the 13th board of the pier. Don't pick the 13th bottle. Don't play the 13th customer. He can't get away from that number, he doesn't like that number, that's all. 13 eyes watching you lose is much less forgiving.

Help Batista face his fears by picking up the Ominous Stray from the Cash Shop and defeating One Three Snake Eyes!
