@Faizh Mori and Nori are being changed because of sensitivity concerns towards Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)/Folks who are systems, as many of thier lore (and associated items) present an outdated view of it (such as the "split personality" achievement and the "two faced" sticker, which are both

@feral That's why I said summer in the post. I said on that forum that I was hoping to get it done before Masq, and if we didn't there would be a news post about it. This is notice of we haven't forgotten about it and plan on getting it done. Adding new items really isn't that hard - I have a whole list of all the things that need updating everywhere along with content in articles/pages. It's a matter of how we want to approach it, which was a bigger discussion among staff (which we had to work around site holidays + irl holidays + staff vacations haha). Everything is almost settled now, though!
Season changes are the best time on subeta. I can't handle how much I'm loving the recent influx of giraffes. They're not my favorite animal or anything but they're so insanely cute and appealing, and the way you guys draw them ups the cute factor even more. And that bug hunting ghost made me smile hugely at my desk like a child. SO CUTE.
Can't edit my post, but I'm seeing the note at the bottom of this news post about the change now.

On the board it says we'd get info before Masq. It's now after, and we never received the statement about it? (Correct me if I'm wrong of course!)
I don't see the point in adding more Mori/Nori items like this with old lore that will also have to be updated....?

@Sneaky That's because the book right now is under the same rules as the current lore -- when we go to change things, it will be changing everything at once.
Loving the new items! I am very intrigued to find out more about the lore change for Mori and Nori.
So you say you'll be changing the lore, yet the description for that book suggests that they still share a body... I wonder just what the changes will be...
