ahem! This just in, everyone! The management facility of this year's EPICon would like me to tell you that the squabble between Nico and User not found: manwar has not gone unnoticed. Much to the contrary, they feel it has become an even larger focal point than the actual planned events. In light of this, they would like me to officially announce the results of the bet.
Based on overall item sales, EPIContest contribution, and the level of participation in the games released at this convention, the winner is…

EPICon management would like to thank not only Nico and Manwar, but also everyone who participated in this battle because sales soared through the roof! They also realize that most people were too busy supporting their causes to actually enjoy the convention, so they've vowed to leave the doors open so people may browse the wares they might have missed. As an added bonus, a special VIP Lounge has been set aside for the winning team to celebrate in luxury.

I'm only dissapointed in that I wasn't able to participate enough to get so many epic items. I would pay in cash shop credits in order to get some of the items they have up for restock points, but I have almost none. <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_sad.gif" border="0" /> And I SOOO badly want the Duel Wig.

Keith, let me borrow a text book from someone and I'll send a couple of examples to you. We did an entire section on fair proportions with distributing votes/points in a Mathematics in Contemporary Issues class I took. Did you know that depending on the way you decide to count votes and/or points, you can take the exact same data and twist it in at least four different directions? It's really nifty.

I've been on Subeta for over 3 years now and this is the first time I've actually participated in a restock war. I had a BLAST! Thank you Subeta for making this one of the best websites around. The prize shop is teeming with amazing items. I was actually able to get everything I wanted and a few extras for resale. I can't wait for the next restock war!

Chrissacide - If you're going to say that there is data to go against the method we've used, I'd really appreciate it if you posted it instead of sounding like you're an authority, while not pointing to anything in particular.

I could go into all the ins and outs of why this is a bad way to count points, but I don't really feel like grabbing all my class notes right now. xP Basically, there's a lot of actual mathematical data and psychological data that can be used as an argument against counting the points like you did here. (Yay for liberal arts education? =D )
