My Story
Since as far back as I can remember I'd always loved nature. My mother was one of many of Gaia's guardians. They maintained the land, looked after the creatures that dwelled there and as her only daughter I was brought up to take the mantle after her. Our training begins at an early age learning in the field and so my coat reflected that, but once I learned the elements I was given my final look of the glade family. My line comes from Themis, as a protector of the land; we take care to continue fertilizing the world around us since we are all connected. Times change, yet we continue our duty spending years on one location before going to another.
For now I've only begun my journey caring for this land. It will be a few generations before I move on to another.

Snap-Dragon
 I'd lived alone in my forest for years. Yes, I had the company of many creatures, yet none were my true friends. They helped me as expected, I did not resent them. Only that I longed for a friend. One morning Gaia sensed my need.As I walked out, right at my door I found a single seedling. It was beautiful. I knew instantly who'd sent it. She's always been so good to us. I went out and planted the seedling underneath a willow. Just a smidge of sunlight, but I knew it only needed a smidge. I nursed that tiny seedling for three days, by the fourth I noticed that the earth had been disturbed. I kicked off the loose earth when I felt a nudge under my hoof. As I moved aside, this small little thing started to emerge. It was a Snap-Dragon, I'd heard stories of them, but I'd never seen one in all my years. He was beautiful. His amber eyes immediately found me and he knew me. He extended his gorgeous wings and up he went. I called him Scales. It didn't matter how small he was, how clever he was, but who he was. He was a clever little thing. He helped me, we understood each other and finally I had found my dearest friend. Through him I got to learn his love of Tera. |

 Tera always fluttered about. She helped pollinate the flowers and helped the rainbows streak across the skies. From the way Scales tells me, she caught his attention as he flew by the Treeant's home towards the Dancing Damsel Orchid patch.He'd been helping a flock of Tuliplum's clear the pond of foliage when he spotted Tera flying about the Orchids. She was dusting pollen on them and was so graceful. He tells me she looked at him and wink. He's a winker, mind you, but just that look and he was hooked. I don't even know how long they've been together, but it's music to my ears. He's happy, she's happy, I'm happy. |
