I saw a star beneath the stairs glowing through the melting walls. Who will be the first to begin their fall? Or will we become one? Am I the star beneath the stairs? Am I a ghost upon the stage? Father is a fire demon, one who handles sending the newly passed into the Otherworld, mother able to see Death on a person. Born in Ireland, her father had left once she turned a year of age. Demons tend to leave the child once born, but her mother knew he'd return. Each year on her birthday he'd visit for that day then leave once more.
Star has the ability to control fire, she can create and manipulate the flames and can move between planes of existence, yet she's hesitant in going down into the Otherworld. She gained some of her mother's gifts in that she's only able to see and communicate with spirits. She has the speed, agility, and strength of a demon. Ages slower than humans with a longer life span.
Chapter 3
A Bit of HistoryCaoranach had many children. After the fall of Caoranach, the Aughisky were angered by what she'd done. Having passed the waterways that would supply the towns and their source of food, she poisoned the water and so they cursed her bloodline. The first born child of her children will not be pure, but be cursed to stay near water come nightfall or bear the consequences of taking a life if they stay around people. Unable to resist this urge to take a life Star had to separate herself from the ones she loved.
At the age of 16 the curse manifested and if it weren't for her father's intervention she'd of killed her own mother. Thinking she'd gotten away with what happened her father left for another year. A neighbor heard the commotion and once the townspeople realized what she was, branded her with a Triskell on the back of her neck. One spiral was wavy, another was jagged, and the third was a clean spiraled line. Having heard her mother's explanation they gave her one chance to leave the town she grew up in.
Father is one who'd handle sending the newly passed into the Otherworld, this was how he heard of my mother. Being able to see Death on a person she would sometimes warn someone before their time came in order to set their affairs in order. Some would have Death so strongly that their bodies would appear as though it were shriveling into a husk, it was those moments where she'd try to warn them the most. Father began to hear of her from the newly departed that would pass into the Otherworld more calmly than what he was accustomed too.
