Pixune
Legacy Name: Pixune

Once upon a time, two young bears met and fell in love. We'll call them Pixie and Rune.
They had a wonderful time together: singing, laughing, dancing every day. Oh, and most of all they loved going out for dinner and walking on the beach. They both just loved the feeling of the silky sand between their toes.

It didn't take long for them to realise that they were soulmates, so they vowed to stay together forever, and they had an amazing party to celebrate it - on the beach, of course. All of their family and friends were there and everyone had the time of their life.

Whenever Pixie and Rune were daydreaming about what the rest of their life together would be like, it always came down to one thing: raising a big family together. Maybe six or so bear cubs? They would teach them to love the beach and the ocean like they did, and pass along their own sense of humor and their optimism, and they'd all have a lot of fun together. Family life would be loud and exciting and there would be something new to see and learn each and every day.

Time passed by, but no bear cubs came. Pixie often sat on the beach late at night, looking at the night sky, wondering why it took the stars so long to send a tiny cub their way. Silently, she imagined what her cubs might look like. Would she ever find out?
With every full moon that came and went, she grew a little more sad and a little less hopeful.

Rune dealt with his pain in his own way. He didn't like going to the beach as often anymore because it gave him too much time to think negative things. He started working very hard, because then he could forget his worries for a while.
Soon they realised they were drifting apart, and something needed to be done. So they went to see the island's shaman.
He told Pixie and Rune that he knew exactly what needed to be done, and they believed him. However, he had no easy solution ready and all he did was concoct one awfully smelly potion after another. None of them worked.
The shaman then went on to perform a series of painful experiments on both of them. Again, to no avail.

Years later, the bear couple had given up all hope. But they could not find the courage in their hearts to stop trying, and they still went from shaman to shaman on every single island they could think of. Each of them performed the same lousy experiments over and over.

Then one dark and stormy night, their latest shaman spoke to the moon and stars in a demanding voice, and the sky changed color. He performed a dance routine which made the clouds rumble, and lightning struck the ground below his feet.
Pixie and Rune were too terrified to watch. They stood motionless side by side, their gazes fixed on their own paws. Only when the storm passed, did they dare to look up.
Silent with disbelief, they witnessed as the shaman picked up a tiny grey cub from a hole in the ground right where the lightning had struck minutes ago, and handed him to them.

They named him Pixune. They taught him to love the beach and the ocean, and they danced and laughed and sang with him every day. Pixune was an energetic and loud bear cub, with a positive attitude and always full of laughter. He made Pixie and Rune's lives all the richer and he taught them to love each other even more than they did before.
