Short Bio: Akaar is of a special branch of Paralix that has retained the ability to transform into human form--a trait he inherited from his parents. When he was very young, a group of dragon hunters found the cave Nabil and Chaitanya were living in and attacked while the female was away. They'd come for Nabil's hair, as dragon hair was considered to have magical properties, and with length showing a dragon's strength Akaar's father was a prime target. The hunters heavily injured Nabil before Chaitanya returned and tried to lay waste to them with the rage of a fire dragon. But she was killed and Nabil barely managed to escape with his crying son. His adrenaline-fueled strength quickly petered out near a farmer's house and he plummeted from the sky, shielding Akaar with his body. Nabil died from his wounds, and Akaar was found by the farmer and his wife. The toddler was given to an orphanage, where he spent all of his childhood and teen years--never remembering what had happened to his parents or that his birthmark was a symbol of his mother's magic flowing through his veins. (It would take a nightmare lord to reveal his past to him.)
When he was old enough, Akaar left the orphanage. Instead of getting an apartment and a job like any upstanding Subetan or finding a cave to reside in like his Paralix ancestors, Akaar chose instead to simply steal what he needed. His method of choice was using the stealth and abilities his dragon form provided him to squeeze into people's homes and take whatever expensive thing he could find. Dragons are notorious for their greedy eye, after all. Living life as a nomadic thief was actually quite thrilling and easy for the young adult. It's how he met his Minion, Lamech! But...it's also how he ended up in the Adopt-R-Us system. Why bother keeping him in jail when he could be rehabilitated in the hands of a human Owner? Akaar could have broken out whenever he wanted, but he figured he'd stick around and see just what sort of person "adopted" him. He fully intended to hit the road after eating some decent food and sleeping in a nice bed. Totally. But the food was addictive, the bed was soft, and Saan was all right. Before he knew it, the Paralix had a home.
He didn't cease his thieving, however. Occasionally he would feel antsy and sneak out his window to find someone else's and sneak in. Only instead of stealing rare items to make a living, Akaar found himself taking unattended Minions. In fact, he became a bit of a hoarder regarding the small companions. If there were no Minions, he'd just snatch something of nostalgic value. It was the latter scenario that prompted him into meeting Nath. Akaar was in the process of taking one of the Montre's paintings when he was caught by the artist. Akaar flew, Nath chased, and the two wound up becoming friends. Eventually, they became lovers. There's nothing in the world that surpasses Nath in value to the Paralix. And he will fight to defend what's precious to him. Even if that means taking on a god.
I don't know.

Natheniel
Nath is an observer in his world, rarely talkative or involved. He loves nothing more than peoplewatching.

Gwydion
Sometimes a partner in crime. Loki thinks to highly of himself, and Akaar fears he might one day overdue it.
