Talmar is a dashing, suave and charming pirate, the bravest of the brave, a heroic rogue - in his imagination, at least. Actually, Talmar's short stint as captain of a ship ended with his being stranded on a desert island by his crew due to his sheer ineptitude. Talmar isn't exactly selfish or bad - both of which are important pre-requisites if you want to make a successful living stealing away other people's livelihoods. No, Talmar fancied himself as something of a Robin Hood, and the idea of not-for-profit pirating did little to impress his crew. His absolute lack of any form of pirating skill impressed them even less. Talmar's plans had always relied on his extraordinary amounts of luck and when that luck ran out, he found himself faced with the back end of a ship sailing away from an island beach, with no idea how to get off.

Still, Talmar is nothing if not persistent. Even faced with his numerable failures, he maintains his vision of himself as a clever, daring rogue - though all those who know him simply see him as an annoying, yet loveable idiot.
