We’ve re-enabled ads around the site.

As much as we’d love to avoid it, keeping Subeta running does have its costs. Ads are one of the simplest ways to help cover those expenses. We’ve had an on-again, off-again relationship with ads in the past, and while I’m not the biggest fan of targeted advertising, it’s a necessity to keep things going! The alternative would be to raise prices or increase Cash Shop (CS) releases, but we’d really prefer to keep as much content on Subeta free for everyone.

If you happen to come across any inappropriate ads, please don’t hesitate to submit a report through a ticket, and include a screenshot of the ad.

As always, you have the option to get a Gold Account, which blocks all external ads. And if you use an ad blocker, we get it and still appreciate your support! 💖

We've just pushed out an update to the site that prevents AI "bots" from crawling Subeta, and using the work we've all all done to train it's models.

This blocks any bots from Microsoft, OpenAI and others from crawling Subeta, and using anything it finds to train it's data. I've finished the process of opting out and outright blocking where we can't opt out.

If you experience any slowness or pages not loading (you'd get a "not allowed" error), please make a ticket.

The Gelashell and Gelatin Golem spent the past year on the Freyalise annoying Angrybeard in the Galley. Now that the ship is docked and the crew has been able to get these gelatins out on land, will you do Angrybeard a solid and defeat these challengers?

With the galley being cleared of gelatin, maybe you can help Angrybeard with chasing out the rats?

The Gelatin Gliders have been annoying Rita for weeks. Maybe you can help her out? While the crew was at sea, whenever Rita got close to one to fight, it'd always fly off, only to come back and annoy the crew even more.

So please, help the Freyalise crew out and defeat those gliders!

These annoying pests can be found in the Event tab at the Battle Coliseum. You have until the end of Keel Hauliday to defeat them.

Thanks to everyone's help with the mini gelatins, Anabelle has finally gotten the Freyalise Trading Company organized enough to open!

Of course, Carl will have a chance of giving out Freyalise Trading Company items from 2024 and 2023. As a treat, all quests have been reset.

Do you have an old collection item, like plushies or beanbags, on your wishlist? Or an old book that you need multiple copies of but have lost hope in getting your hands on one? Well, the Freyalise Crew has found multiples of many old items hidden away on their ship and have thrown them into the Freyalise Trading Company. Not every old item has been released, we focused on getting items like books, plushies, beanbags, etc out. Some old clothes have returned, though!

Items older than 2023 or 2024 will not go out through Carl's quests. So don't worry about his item pool clogging up with old treasures.

:star: You will have until 11:59pm on October 6 to enjoy the treasures of Freyalise Trading Company and fight any gelatins that get released!
:star: This is the only wave of new items to be added to the Freyalise Trading Company shop! We will have some pirate themed items released in other places, though. ;)

It looks like while the Freyalise Crew was out at sea, the ship got overrun by gelatin! Now docked, Captain Fishbreath Jacques would like your help throughout Keel Hauliday in defeating the annoying gelatins. The crew has more important things to do with their limited time on land, after all!

Spend the day defeating Mini Gelatins so Anabelle can open up the Freyalise Trading Company tomorrow. There will be news posts throughout the holiday when the harder and more annoying gelatins have been swept off board by Dirty Matty for you to fight.

This means the official start of Keel Hauliday will be tomorrow. This is when the shop will open for restocking and Carl will start giving out items. Don’t worry, quests will be reset when it all starts!

In the past, we've had limited amounts of each gelatins when released. That's not the case this year! Fight as much as you can when a gelatin is released, the crew would appreciate it. We've also added new tiers to the gelatin related battle achievements! All gelatins will be found in the Event Tab at the Battle Coliseum.

Do Saggitarius quests this weekend for increased prizes and rewards!

There are three new achievements related to the delicious 20th Anniversary Kumos Cookies! You will have to do the following:

:star: Feed the basic species colors to one of your pets
:star: Feed the special species colors to one of your pets
:star: Complete both of the previous achievements (which means you've fed a pet all the cookies!)

All three achievements award the same item, the book Twenty Years of Memories. We know y'all usually need more than one book copy for whatever reason (pet treasure, multiple smarty pant pets, etc). Splitting all the cookies into three achievements seemed the best way to get you multiple copies, so enjoy!

Sveta the Reborn Illumis has won the Pet Spotlight!!

The Longtime Member achievement now has a tier for 20 years! Visit your dashboard to unlock this achievement tier level.

For those who have asked, the Subeta Anniversary Border is back! For those who did not unlock it last year, you can visit Raffles at the Ruffie Raffle to receive it. If you haven't unlocked it yet, do so by the end of the month! You can change your avatar border here.

Edit: Remember that the border is tied to the achievement 'Subeta Anniversary Border'. You receive the border itself once you get that achievement and hit the 'star' on it.

Today is a major milestone for Subeta. We are 20 years old! It's absolutely crazy looking back at everything we've achieved. We say this every year but it's still very true - we wouldn't be here without every single one of you dedicated users. Everyone that has referred a friend, helped a new user, tested a feature, and more. We look forward to what our small but mighty team can complete in the future with all of you there next to us!

September is a busy month! Here's what is coming:

:star: Summer is almost over!!! On September 22, the Millionaire Center and Seasonal Quest Shop will switch over.

The storm chelon will crash through tempestuous waves to be by your side if you gain its loyalty! You might find yourself needing an umbrella to pet it, though.

You have one more day to purchase August collections and battle summoners. Tomorrow (September 4), we plan on rotating everything to be for September!
