Monthly Subscription Item Update
The monthly subscriber item used to be handed out automatically to whoever had an active subscription (moving back to legacy soon!!) when it went live. It was fickle. It missed people often enough that I was granting the item by hand a few times a month to anyone who wrote in, which is not a system so much as me being the system.
So it works differently now. On the day your subscription renews, you get 1 Subscription Point, and you spend it yourself.
Take it to the Subscription Shop. Every item in there costs exactly one point, including the month's new item. Points don't expire and nothing ever leaves the shop, so if this month's item isn't for you, hold the point until something you want shows up. Quester, Councilor, and Goddess all earn a point per renewal. Keeper does not.
The Weekend Bonus Items shop has closed and its 140 items moved into the same catalog. That brings the shop to 210 items, the oldest of which went out in July 2013.
Every item also has a 500 CSC price next to the point price. Cash Shop sales apply to it. This is mostly so the older items keep circulating: a lot of them have been effectively out of print for years.
If you were subscribed when this went in, you've already been given points for it. Check your balance at the top of the shop before you buy anything.

This is awesome! I don't always want the item from that month, but a lot of the old ones are amazing. I've just subscribed to Quester. My point hasn't shown up yet though, does that not happen for the first month? Maybe it'll process later.
What a GREAT idea! As someone who can't consistently afford a subscription, so many of these items I had resigned to not getting my hands on. This is fantastic.
Should I have 2 points? I've spoken about points in Discord when I originally had 5 and it was fixed so I had 1, which I spent on the newest item, so why do I have 2 now?

Oh my gosh, my suggestion on Discord was taken (and refined)! This is awesome! There'll be no more issues with subscription items, not to mention there's going to be more access to past items! 🤩

Could we get the wording in the Cash Shop updated then to make this new section easier for people to find?
Currently on the Cash Shop page in the list of links near the top, it still says "Bonus Items" so that should maybe be changed to say "Subscription Shop" and same with the link in the Cash Shop dropdown menu that still says "Weekend Bonus Items"

This is cool so we can get the new item if we want or grab a different one or take the CSC, that's a great option.
sweeeeet i have sooo many old weekend bonus items on my WL- i love that this means i can now pick between the new item or grab another older one!

I really love this update, thank you!! I'm super stoked that we can buy the items with 500 CSC as well as the points, since I tend to get pretty bad decision paralysis when it comes to spending more limited currencies.
Oh that's awesome! Definitely a huge added perk to subscribing, and really cool that you kicked it off with current subscribers too!
