Your friends list, the Friend Feed, and people you might know
There are people on my friends list here on Subeta that I've been talking to for more than 20 years, and I've even slept at their houses!! Adding someone as a friend makes it a lot easier to stay in touch, so I spent some time on the Friend Feed and the Friends page.
When a friend makes a pet and then uses a color potion on it the same day, those are one entry with one picture now. A day of new avatar looks shows up as a single strip of snapshots instead of a big card for each one. Each day has its own tab.
Some players share their big moments with everyone, not just their friends. A few of those now show up in your feed with an Around Subeta stamp, which is a nice way to find someone new. Pick Friends only in the "from" filter to hide them, or Around Subeta to see only those.
If you'd like yours to show up for everyone, there's a Share my big moments button at the top of the feed. It shares new pets, pet colors, achievements, birthdays, and contest entries, and it earns you the Say Cheese achievement. Nothing else you share changes, and you can turn any of them off in Sharing settings.

Love all these updates, though my head is spinning trying to keep up with everything!
- the sharing settings: it isn't clear to me what difference is "public profile" and "community moments"? Profile is the feed on your own profile that lists your shared items, where can you find the community moments?
- profile status: is that the same status that we can update as in our sidebar dashboard?
Seriously, some of my now "real life" besties and chosen family I met here on Subeta. Always happy to make new friends, and love this update!
Seeing a lot of of my old Friends account say 'last seen 4 years ago' makes me feel sad a little!

Found sharing settings in friend feed but can't find the option to stop the people I might know. ?? How do I turn it off?
Where is the "sharing settings" option to turn off people I know. (I hate that on face book, drives me crazy.)
I notice I can't see the friend requests I have made when I go look at that area - only the people who have requested me. I feel it would be good to know who I sent a friend request to, because I otherwise might try requesting them again (and again). Also, it means I don't know if the request went through or not.
this just reminded me all the friends i had are all gone (accounts and all) and after coming back i've not added anyone as a friend on here. But I do see the same couple people around subeta almost daily which gave me the illusion of friends XD so if anyone wants a subeta pal, Hi! Im 33 and only request is adults only :)
Metroid is correct. That needs to be brought back, I got blocked by someone ages ago that I never spoke to once and they have changed their name at least once or twice. I do not want to run into them by accident unknowingly.
I have a friend request I sent a few months back that I can't cancel. It seems to be stuck in limbo now.
Cool! Sounds like some really good additions and refinements! I really like the sound of the function where it groups pet adoption + potion change into one section!

I mean, I think that they should have their own little user icon color. Pink's not taken by anything, if I remember correctly? Pink icons for the ones who left us would be fair :D

Would actually love an option to turn off the "people you might know" feature, as well as keep myself from appearing to others through it. I don't send or accept random friend requests so there's no point to it for me. It's not really a huge nuisance since I'm almost never on the friends page, but it would be nice.
If only the site would stop being so laggy so I could enjoy all of these cool new things. :(

i'm noticing that anytime i update my 'what to read' preferences and click save, the page only partially loads and doesn't show any content, other than the 'personal' tab of the nav bar and the banner at the top. when i go back to the friend feed link, it shows everything fine and appears to have updated my settings, but the page redirect post-save doesn't seem to work properly.
Some of my friends who I think have friend requests blocked are listed in the "you might know" section. And some of them who have stealth mode activated might not want people to know when they were last online, that shows now for everyone on the friend page.
These pages look much nicer and are so functional now!

Oh this is a nice update! Just fyi, changing settings in the "What you read" section kills the page, I tried it several times and I had to close the tab/navigate to another page via the address bar.
also i flopped i meant to also say THANK YOU for all these changes!! you are killing it recently w all the updates <3
fyi the dropdowns for "Profile status" "Sharing settings" and "What you read" are anchored weirdly rn- they dont seem to properly be loading under their toggles and instead shift around as whole elements so its a bit hard to navigate atm

Is the 'blocked' page no longer going to tell us who has blocked us? i liked that feature, cause then it told me who not to bug or ping by accident.
