Well Lambert isn't the last person I'd call a rock god, but he isn't the first later. But at any rate, if the artist considers him to be one, then that's her opinion.

@Marianne: First off, you can't just finish second in a popularity contest and instantly become a rock god. You have to be in the business for a long time before that can even be a possibility. Second off, called his music rock music is being generous, but I guess that's just the way things are nowadays with mainstream "rock"

@guardianmarcus I have listened to plenty of great rock singers - the special thing about Adam is his performance skills (which are way more intense in person than on the tv show). He does have incredible vocal range, too, btw.
