One day, when he was busy trying to nab the last coconuts from a beleaguered vendor, he was confronted by a pack of hungry manchus who had the same idea. A pretty nasty scuffle ensued, leaving poor Rendwing with a face full of scars and tattered wings. He crawled off into the jungle and the locals thought that would be the last they saw of him. With their competition out of the way, the manchu pack became more emboldened and started raiding more often.
Of course, if Rendwing’s story ended there, then you and I wouldn’t be out here, so you can probably guess what happened next. Locals are doing what they can, fighting off thieving manchus, locking up fruits and stuff, and then this big shadow glides over the village. There’s a barely audible “whoosh” as the shadow swoops down, grabs a manchu by the tail and then chucks the critter into the sea. The rest of the pack starts howling and hollering, another big brawl ensues and, let me tell you, Rendwing does not lose this time. Apparently, no manchu pack has been seen near the market since that day, they’re all way too afraid to come back.

Each day throughout the month, Melody will be giving out new treats. There are two achievements regarding Melody’s Cottage. If you visit every day through the 25th, you’ll receive an Essence of Melody, which is essential to making a Nostalgic Pet! If you make it every day of December, you’ll get the Melody Regular 2020 achievement. We haven’t added an item prize yet, but there will be one before the month finishes.
How do you get ornaments? You can donate sP to Melody after visiting her cottage for the day and receive an Old Box of Ornaments. When you open the box, you’ll find a random selection of ornaments. If you are missing ornaments, please file a ticket.
Only want friends to leave your gifts under your tree or maybe no gifts at all? You can adjust your Luminaire gift settings here.
Luminaire ends at 11:59pm on December 31.

What have we done with the pet spotlight win for December 6? We’ve removed the trophy off the pet, we’ve removed it from both the site’s homepage and pet spotlight page, and discussed as a team what we’ll be doing in the future making sure no pet like this wins again.
I’ve brought it up before, we’re a small team. Up until this point, we haven’t had many people looking into the queue. It’s generally one or two people going through as often as they can, they never overlapped though. This creates mistakes, especially when someones been at it for hours. We’re working on implementing a way to make sure at least two people check each possible winner.
We are specifically not mentioning the pet name to not draw more attention to the pet.

When we come back, it will be with a completely new, revamped CW system! The new system will live on Subeta v2, and we are so excited for you to see the great updates and new features we have prepared, including but not limited to:

- A new, easy-to-use submission process with simplified CW categories!
- A brand new (and official) CW directory, where you can add public notes to your releases!
- Upgraded CW shops to make organization and selling even easier!

You can search for it to see if it is available in their shop. Curious if an item is retired or sold out? The directory will let you know! Just feel like browsing through the gorgeous wears to fill your wishlist? Then this is the place for you! In addition, if you are a CW releaser, you can add public releaser notes to the directory listings for your own items!
- CW Shops Improvements! Visit the CW Shops to see newly released items as well as manage your own! Take a look through your new CW Warehouse - your new storage space for items that are not retired but not in your shop - and see if there is anything you want to get back on the market. You can use the Warehouse for temporary retirements as well! When managing your shop, use the new search filters to look through your own items and find that specific one you need to make edits to! Want to invite specific users to look at an item? Invite them directly from your shop and they can pick up the item - no additional steps (and no password) required!
- CW Submission MAJOR Revamp! Ready to submit an item? Head to the Releaser’s Hub where it is now easier than ever to get your items in the queue! Pricing categories have been simplified and made cheaper, AND you are only required to pay for your own copy of the item at submission time, dramatically lowering the submission cost.
- Other CW Submission Quality-of-Life Improvements! When submitting, you can optionally choose to also pay for an artist copy at half price (!!) which will be sent to the artist directly upon approval! There is no more complicated recolor-enabling process; if you're submitting a recolor, just type the item name of your original color in the submission form! And when you resubmit for a denial, you can resubmit directly from your Denial History page, which will pre-fill the submission form with (most of the) values from your previous submission.

Telenines are still used as a mode of transportation up in the far reaches of the Arctic Frost, as they can handle the climate and a team of five can move a sled pretty quickly through the terrain. A few years back, one sled-driver came across an injured telenine who’d just had a litter of puppies. Thing is, this particular animal was HUGE, like double the size of your typical telenine. The puppies were huge, too, so the sled-driver thought these would make for an amazing sled team. He managed to nab two of them without getting mauled, though I’m told the mother certainly tried. He returned later to find the rest of them gone, so he focused on training the two he had.
Crookfang was the little sister, so-named because one of her fangs never really grew as long as it should have. Tusk was the big brother, and he had his own dental issues. His fangs curved out and upward and he learned pretty quickly just how much damage he could do with them. You see, these two weren’t your typical goofy lummox telenines whose most dangerous aspect is the amount of slobber they produce. No, these were feral telenines from an old bloodline that never met humans. They were strong, fast, and incredibly smart. They were also unruly, untameable, and worst of all, they remembered being taken. And boy, did they hold a grudge.
This is where the tale varies wildly depending on the storyteller. Some claim their mother returned and they and all their siblings decimated the little village, sparing no one (but then how did anyone know what happened?) Others claim the two were actually shape-shifters who turned into humans to escape their pens and then set the huts on fire (an... interesting spin, but yeah, I’m doubting this version pretty hard.) Apparently, the most likely scenario is that the siblings were able to break out of their cages and caused enough of a panic that fleeing villagers knocked over a lit brazier. There was so much chaos that no one could put the fires out in time. All we know for sure is that Tusk and Crookfang are long gone, that village is an abandoned ruin, and there are some snowy trails that sled teams will never travel.
