Welcome to the Urubu!
The thing is, we sort of came across this hill, and then a dip. There were some stones that we climbed over and we came to this place that felt both old and new at the same time. And this creature was right there to greet us!
Aren’t they wonderful? They’re so very friendly, and they love to have their bellies scratched. They made a weird cute sort of noise that sounded like ‘ururururururu’ so I’ve been calling them urubus while I went to figure out what they actually were.
The thing is, Ian and Jaxon came out with me to see them, and we’ve done some research and it appears I may have discovered a brand new species! We had so many of them follow us home for belly scratches that we made some calls to the Pet Agency who have agreed to connect them to new human companions, which they seem to love!
Please welcome the urubu to Subeta! You may need to put a fence around your vegetables, they do like to dig things up.

I love pigs and cows. I've been waiting for years for a good Bovyne revamp so I can finally add them to my family. Then this guy comes along. I would have been excited, except it's as if it was made to be as unpiglike as possible. It's got an interesting look, all fluffly and covered in stripey spots on a hippo body. The only distinguishabley piggish feature is the snout. I won't count the tail as it is out of place on a wild looking animal. The pet looks great. It's one of the best ones. But it's no pig. I am sad. Please consider doing some work on the poor Bovynes before releasing more species.

I don't understand why everyone thought it'd be a vulture tbh. I understand the name is Vulture in Portuguese, but we already have the Fester, and Subeta has always tried not to use real names for their pets.
I'm personally not a big fan of these guys, but I'm glad that there's a new pet on Subeta. I can't wait to see them in some different poses and colors beyond the base ones. That might be kinda neat. A lot of other people seem pretty stoked about it so I'm happy about that as well. Great art too.
When I saw "Welcome to the Urubu", I thought the pet would look like a vulture, since those are called urubus in Portuguese. Still, a cute species, just got really confused for a moment!
Looks like a neotenous wild boar. I approve (although I co-sign the bit regarding the name meaning vulture).
I'm a little puzzled about why no one researched the name - they'd have learned that black vultures are called urubus in various languages, such as french and portuguese, but it's a cute pet.
Just sad it's not called the Ururu to avoid confusion! :D

If you guys are rolling out zodiac animals, I expect a bovyne update in 2021 and I guess... wyllop next year? But, not being a rat, I care less if they get one. haha. (just in case: not really expecting either. this is meant to be a joke.)
Really though, these are some high quality boars! :D I like their mohawks and fancy fur pattern~ I may actually make one. I know one cute boar from a game that might be fun to add to my collection of too-many-pets.

I like the stripes, they look like baby tapir stripes! I hope there ends up being a version with badass tusks! Probably Hydrus and Nightmare, most likely XD
