Custom Wearable Masquerade Contest!
Prove your mettle in the design world today! Nine designs will be chosen by our team to be featured in the Steamworks Menagerie, but a final tenth winner will be up to you!
Of the winners, five winning designs will consist of facial features (eyes, noses, lips, etc), four non-facial feature, and one user voted winner!
Rules:
- Users may submit up to three designs for consideration.
- Item images and names should be themed towards the Atebus Revolution Masquerade.
- Must be original items (no tributes, no recolors of already existing items, etc).
- Submitted items must adhere to the Custom Wearable rules and guidelines.
- Commissioned art is eligible, but should be credited to the artist(s) in the submission notes.
- Facial features are allowed for this contest!
Prizes:
- 2,000 Cash Shop Credits.
- 50,000,000sP.
- Free copy of your item.
- Winning items to be sold in the Steamworks Menagerie.
- Participation prizes will be awarded!

Are we allowed to make our designs traditionally, or does it have to be digital only? And where can we get the female and male HA bases, anyway?
So I think this is a great idea. I always have and will but I wish more notice was given. Not sure if there was another announcement but it might've allowed for more people to participate with a longer deadline.

After the mess of last time, I thought this wouldn't happen again, but I'm glad it is. I'm looking forward to seeing everything and even voting. Would like to see another chance for artistically challenged people like me, to participate in something as well with a fun prize :) Bring in the dancing, I'm ready to swing with multiple partners.

Good luck to anyone who enters! I do hope any contests like this in the future allow for concept art and designs to be submitted. There are a lot of creative users who likely feel left out because they can't meet subeta's CW standards, myself included.

I'm so happy you decided to do this again, it was one of the things I thought was a great idea, but it hasn't been used as often as it could be.
I agree that maybe having 2 or 3 user chosen winners instead of just one would be nice. But I also understand staff's reasoning for not having all of them user-chosen is to probably ensure some sort of variety, instead of ending up with all of the winners being slight variations of basically the same thing or something.

Is this only for artists? Or could I submit my untalented little drawing of a good idea, aka with intent for the actual site artists to redraw it? Or like...does this already need to be a perfect, site-ready submission? =|
Quick question, but are we allowed to share our process of drawing with friends and stuff? ;v; Like, showing the start of it and the final product? (Sorry for the noob question, i have 0 experience oof)
Also, with all the kitty booties and ears floating around, it'd be nice to have some cat eyes that are not so freaky oversized you can't use them with normal noses or makeups. <3

@Ambition Personally I think there should be at least 2 user-chosen winners, because there are two very different aesthetics in play that deserve their own categories.
If there's only one user-chosen winner, either those with a strong preference for historically-inspired ruffles and lace or those with a strong preference for candy-cyber-emo stuff are going to be disappointed. They don't always combine very well.
(I've wondered why there's not two shops, like there are for Survival, to showcase each aesthetic.)

@Evy Maybe they could bring back the participation prizes in the Crystal Shop or Millionaire Centre after a while, so other uses have a chance to get them? We have a whole thread in the forums for hard-to-get items that were only rewarded once or something that we would like the chance to get again.

I've never made a CW, but I would really love to try. This sounds like a great opportunity to give it a shot! runs to drawing tablet
Just for the sake of clarification: does "participation prize" mean for all entries that are submitted, or only the eligible ones that didn't end up in the top 10? Aka can the non-artists submit a stick figure with a skirt on to get the prize? :P
@METEORA I think it should start tomorrow or Saturday, and the winning items will be added in Wave 2
