Quest-a-thon: LETS GO
The Quest-A-Thon has officially started! You’ll have until 11:59pm on July 12 to complete 1,000,000 quests as a community. BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE (keep reading to the end of the news post)!
Completing quests from the following quest givers will count towards the goal: Blue Building, Carl, Cinthia, Mori and Nori, Alexander, Maleria, Pete, Quentin, Saggitarius, Sarah, and The Wizard.
Don’t forget that regular users can complete 10 quests per quest giver and gold account users can complete 15 quests per quest giver a day. The only quest this does not apply to is Blue Building quests, which are 5 a day for everyone. We will not be penalizing users for using forum groups to store their sP.
Okay but the current prizes don’t interest me.
The point of the quest-a-thon is to encourage everyone to do their quests and come together as a community to beat a common goal. Yes, we have some set prizes, but you also get those sweet sweet quest points + sP from the quest givers. Starting on July 7, quests will be giving out some old holiday items as a nice treat. We’ll have more information about who will be giving out what on that Wednesday! :)What happens if we make 1,000,000 quests before the deadline?
There is a second goal! We did this for the last quest-a-thon because y’all were amazing and it worked out well! If y’all make it past 1,000,000 quests, there will be a news post bringing attention to the second goal and reminding everyone what ALL the prizes would be.
- If 1,000,000 quests get completed:
Participants of at least 1 quest will receive 1 pet slot, 1 Style Hoodie. Anyone that does at least 100 quests will receive a new Green Sun Sparkle HA Border. We will once again be awarding the Gold Sun Sparkle border to the top 100 participants. If you place in the top 100 participants, you’ll get the Gold Sun Sparkle border as well! (We expect a lot of ties, so more than 100 people might end up getting the gold Sparkle border) - If 2,000,000 quests get completed:
All goal one prizes (assuming you meet requirements) + 5 referral points + 10 loyalty points + a forum title yet to be determined. Give your suggestions for it in the news comments and we’ll do a poll later!
If y’all don’t make the 2,000,000 quests completed goal, that’s okay! You’ll still get the 1,000,000 quest goal prizes, assuming y’all have beat that. ;)

are you referring to storing sP in a forum group used by multiple people? don't bother with that, make your own personal group and put your money in that instead.

Honestly this will be the very first time I'm joining in a questathon, and I've been a member on subeta for about 13 years. Very excited, but also curious, even though Sarah is a starter for those with less sP wouldn't it be easier just to allow users to be able to get quests from her and let it slide during a questathon?
@Amber Is there going to be something put out, since they've said they would allow it, as to the logistics of how we could or couldn't move sP about? Does there have to be an account not participating in quests to hold the sP or can it be moved around from one person to another in order for multiple group members to do the quests? Or how do we do that without breaking the rules?

For those of you who care about stat boosters for your battlers don't forget to say hi to Shinwa first before diving headlong into the quest dumpster! :)
We completed 2,727,204 quests from August 24 to September 4 last year. This goal shouldn't be a problem!
I have been waiting for this for ages and some how got the dates muddled in my mind after the announcement. I thought there was still close to a week to go until this, so real surprise to see it start today lol.

@bunny Because even if we lift the cap, people will still work around it to do all the quests. It’s a lot of extra work on the UAs to deal with people figuring out ways to do all the quests and I don’t want to take quests out (Saggi, Sarah) just because of the sP limitations. That’s why, for quest-a-thons, I don’t want anyone penalized.

"We will not be penalizing users for using forum groups to store their sP." shocked pikachu i was today years old when i learned this was a thing. so you're saying people put their sp into the forum group? does that let them do additional quests with sarah? that doesn't seem right but if y'all are encouraging it why not just lift the cap on sarah with the understanding that if you do the newbie quests you're just doing it for the low rewards? no, tea no shade, i really just did not know this was a thing.
