The Choker, also known as The Constrictor, originally began as a common infected but was quickly mutated and transformed by a rare strand of the Z-Virus, as it is being called now.
The Choker is easily detected by the sound it gives off when approaching. It is most closely compared to a sucking sound, most likely caused by the tentacles that have sprouted from The Choker's once human-like body. When a Choker approaches you, don't be fooled by his appearance. He will initially come toward you in a small, slumped position, this is to give the impression that he is easily defeated. From this position, he cannot take any damage, so save your ammunition and strength for when he exposes his belly. Once he is ready to attack, he will straighten his stance and rear back, extending all of his tentacles toward you. When he does this, you can either shoot, or bludgeon his exposed belly for maximum damage. Cutting off limbs WILL NOT do any harm, but will in fact cause more tentacles to sprout from the severed limb.
The best weapon to defeat a Choker is the shotgun, since only one or two shots will defeat him. But if you are short on ammo, a machete or sword will suffice.
If The Choker is able to get you in a hold, he will wrap his tentacles around your waist and begin to squeeze slowly, which is why he is nicknamed The Constrictor. Your teammates will only have a small window of time to free you from his grip, before he begins to quickly drain your life.
