Throughout the day we will be celebrating this in different ways. To start, the various quest shops have brought back their birthday/anniversary-themed items. These will stick around until the first day of Winter!

I have done all my quests (15 each) for 3 days in a row and havent seen any birthday/anniversary-themed items. Am I just having bad luck or what?
Happy 18th Anniversary, Subeta. It's been a bit of a rough road this past year or two, but we've made it this far. And to think, I've been here for 10 out of those 18. I'm not as active here nowadays compared to my younger years, but it's nice to see some old faces that have stuck around, y'know? To me, seeing old friends that have stuck around is what makes me happy. Let's keep this good thing going, y'all!

zombies were yet to come,
quests were done by opening multiple pages because we couldn't just hover over an item to search for it.
Neopets was known as "the site that must not be named"
Spindles had different default settings.
I like most of the changes and that this is a site in motion.

I remember when there was that amazing event that had like puzzles and different games to go through, you had to follow a map, unlock new chambers by solving the riddles and games, you were given random items that were key to go to the next level...i can't remember which season it was but it was amazing!!! Probably the most detailed, well thought-of event I have ever seen on this website.
Other than that, Luminaire and Halloween are and will always be my favorite events!
I do hope you bring back more detailed events, i love this site and i think a lot of us look forward to them! <3

Happy 18th Anniversary Subeta! I have been with y’all for almost 14 of them and it’s been a ride! I love this site; it’s gotten me through a few rough patches in my life and I will be forever grateful for that! I honestly couldn’t choose a single favourite thing but Survival, Morostide, and Luminaire are up there! Love when we have the plots- so much fun! LOVE dressing up my HA; the flexibility of being able to hide limbs is brilliant… and the CWs people have come up with? So many amazing possibilities! Finally kudos to all the staff and amazing artists onsite! Y’all seriously rock! 💕

Happy Anniversary Subeta. My goodness I can't believe I've been here for 18 years. I love all the artwork from the pets, minions. quest items and wardrobe avatar clothing. I also enjoy pet training, battling and I'm thankful to all the kind people I have met over the years. I treasure my friendship with everyone. Here is to many more anniversaries to come. Then the Morostide plot hit, and- I was blown away. I was so invested, I babbled nonstop to my friends (and I think that was about the time I dragged a couple over here with me.) And then, of course, its sequel popped up and I got Completely Normally attached to a character. (Totally not inordinately attached. Totally didn't cry about four times.)
I'm just, completely in love with the writing here on Subeta. It's so kind and warm and funny and just generally heartfelt. From item descriptions to plots to the Subetapedia and even the in-character news posts. It just makes me feel so contented. Thank you staff for the lovely site ♥

Been here on and off for about 15 years, and honestly, this is probably my favorite site. Watching it grow all these years has been an honor and a delight. As well as this remains one of the most queer-friendly spaces on the internet I've ever been a part of. It feels amazing being able to enjoy a dorky petsite so much. Thank you all so much, for all these years.

Happy 18th anniversary Subeta! I love a lot of things about Subeta, but the first one that comes to mind is how monetization isn't aggressive and playing for free is absolutely a viable option (and the one I went with for many years). I hope we see many more years of this site.
I've been on Subeta since high school now, and I think the holidays and the wardrobe are the things that keep me coming back. I'm especially fond of Luminaire and the Masquerade Ball.

really though, its just perfect to relax with. there are many options from gaming to battling to questing and collecting. the community is kind. the staff is always thinking of ways to keep everyone engaged.

Wow, I've been playing this game for 18 years of my life.... 0_0 I remember the Kumos plushie (wish I got that), when avatars were first introduced, all the events, and waiting for YEARS for certain pet names to become available after an account was inactive.

I really dressing up my avatar! My favorite pet species is Feli and I think I currently hold the largest Feli gallery at the moment. My favorite holidays I like to participate in are mostly the real major ones, Halloween, Masquerade, Keelholiday (the pirate one), and the zombie/valentines day event. Mostly because they have cool items for my avatar. And Halloween is my favorite holiday of the whole year. Happy 18th Subeta!

my favorite thing on this entire website is the tuliplum minion. i have over 300 and counting and they're just so god damn cute.
also if it wasn't for cults on here back in the day, i probably wouldn't have made it as far as i did in life without the support of the friends i made over ten years ago. those people changed my life and i never would have met them if it wasn't for this website.

Happy Birthday Subeta. I have to say that my favorite event is a tie between Morostide, Survival and Vesnali. I really enjoyed the plot that introduced Tempest and her bear hugs but also anything involving my pride and joy Merana? My favorite items are the lord of the rings inspired ones. I'm a nerd and proud of it. Congrats on making it to adulthood. ;)
I really loved the Battle of the Bands event and every summer I hold hope that it'll come back
My first Subeta memory is of getting really into it while using Amtrak wifi, on a long train ride from NorCal to Los Angeles, and how fun and chill it was to hang around between long looks out the window, blasting M83 in my headphones. Happy 18th anniversary!

Happy 18 years subeta; I love that there isn't a pet limit, that the art improves year after year and that many items have been added.
The plots are a lot of fun and add to the site lore, and it has been wonderful to have such a space for LGBTQIA+ people to gather and share their joy of virtual pets together.
And of course, I love minions and collecting them, especially as the day I joined I got the Sunbeam minion free gift, which set me down the path of getting teeny tiny pixel critters together

Happy birthday! My favorite thing about subeta is the humans that make it what it is. Sure, we all may have our days, but I've met some incredible humans who I'm proud to call my friends and adopted family. We talk daily and it's one of the most amazing parts of my life.
I love Lumi and love stuffing empty trees and sharing good moments with others here. SO many great people coming together. It's beautiful.

Subeta has been part of my life for half my time on earth which is kind of MIND BOGGLING. I might have only been active for part of that time but the fact that my account has continued to exist and it's always been a part of the background noise in my teenage and adult life... just truly astounding.
Morostide always makes me feel nostalgic. The pure excitement of new items and events around this time every year... 🤩

Happy 18th Subeta! My favorite holiday has always been Masquerade-- I love dressing up fancy and dancing with other users, and the two plots (Murder Mystery and Time Travel/Rift) were also both excellent!
