Happy 18th Anniversary, Subeta. It's been a bit of a rough road this past year or two, but we've made it this far. And to think, I've been here for 10 out of those 18. I'm not as active here nowadays compared to my younger years, but it's nice to see some old faces that have stuck around, y'know? To me, seeing old friends that have stuck around is what makes me happy. Let's keep this good thing going, y'all!

I remember when there was that amazing event that had like puzzles and different games to go through, you had to follow a map, unlock new chambers by solving the riddles and games, you were given random items that were key to go to the next level...i can't remember which season it was but it was amazing!!! Probably the most detailed, well thought-of event I have ever seen on this website.
Other than that, Luminaire and Halloween are and will always be my favorite events!
I do hope you bring back more detailed events, i love this site and i think a lot of us look forward to them! <3

Happy 18th Anniversary Subeta! I have been with y’all for almost 14 of them and it’s been a ride! I love this site; it’s gotten me through a few rough patches in my life and I will be forever grateful for that! I honestly couldn’t choose a single favourite thing but Survival, Morostide, and Luminaire are up there! Love when we have the plots- so much fun! LOVE dressing up my HA; the flexibility of being able to hide limbs is brilliant… and the CWs people have come up with? So many amazing possibilities! Finally kudos to all the staff and amazing artists onsite! Y’all seriously rock! 💕

Happy birthday, Subeta, my beloved. ♥ I'll never forget my return to this site. It was mid-2014, and I was just looking for an avatar site to play with. I'd been here before, but hadn't really gotten involved very much.
Then the Morostide plot hit, and- I was blown away. I was so invested, I babbled nonstop to my friends (and I think that was about the time I dragged a couple over here with me.) And then, of course, its sequel popped up and I got Completely Normally attached to a character. (Totally not inordinately attached. Totally didn't cry about four times.)
I'm just, completely in love with the writing here on Subeta. It's so kind and warm and funny and just generally heartfelt. From item descriptions to plots to the Subetapedia and even the in-character news posts. It just makes me feel so contented. Thank you staff for the lovely site ♥

Been here on and off for about 15 years, and honestly, this is probably my favorite site. Watching it grow all these years has been an honor and a delight. As well as this remains one of the most queer-friendly spaces on the internet I've ever been a part of. It feels amazing being able to enjoy a dorky petsite so much. Happy 18th anniversary Subeta! I love a lot of things about Subeta, but the first one that comes to mind is how monetization isn't aggressive and playing for free is absolutely a viable option (and the one I went with for many years). I hope we see many more years of this site.

I really dressing up my avatar! My favorite pet species is Feli and I think I currently hold the largest Feli gallery at the moment. My favorite holidays I like to participate in are mostly the real major ones, Halloween, Masquerade, Keelholiday (the pirate one), and the zombie/valentines day event. Mostly because they have cool items for my avatar. And Halloween is my favorite holiday of the whole year. Happy 18th Subeta!

my favorite thing on this entire website is the tuliplum minion. i have over 300 and counting and they're just so god damn cute.

Happy Birthday Subeta. I have to say that my favorite event is a tie between Morostide, Survival and Vesnali. I really enjoyed the plot that introduced Tempest and her bear hugs but also anything involving my pride and joy Merana? My favorite items are the lord of the rings inspired ones. I'm a nerd and proud of it. Congrats on making it to adulthood. ;)

My first Subeta memory is of getting really into it while using Amtrak wifi, on a long train ride from NorCal to Los Angeles, and how fun and chill it was to hang around between long looks out the window, blasting M83 in my headphones. Happy 18th anniversary!

Happy 18 years subeta; I love that there isn't a pet limit, that the art improves year after year and that many items have been added.
The plots are a lot of fun and add to the site lore, and it has been wonderful to have such a space for LGBTQIA+ people to gather and share their joy of virtual pets together.
And of course, I love minions and collecting them, especially as the day I joined I got the Sunbeam minion free gift, which set me down the path of getting teeny tiny pixel critters together

Happy birthday! My favorite thing about subeta is the humans that make it what it is. Sure, we all may have our days, but I've met some incredible humans who I'm proud to call my friends and adopted family. We talk daily and it's one of the most amazing parts of my life.

Subeta has been part of my life for half my time on earth which is kind of MIND BOGGLING. I might have only been active for part of that time but the fact that my account has continued to exist and it's always been a part of the background noise in my teenage and adult life... just truly astounding.
Morostide always makes me feel nostalgic. The pure excitement of new items and events around this time every year... 🤩

I had an 10 sP shop, I bought things for less than 10 sP and sold everything at the same price (10 sP, obviously). So with that information, maybe you can guess how long ago that was.
I like that people in Shoutbox are so nice! And also the event forums - specially the european threads that's always created. I like speaking to people in my time zone (give or take a few hours) and I can ask questions about my neighbouring countries.

happy 18th subeta!! man, doesn't even feel like that long but it DOES at the same time. i've had a lot of fun on this site over the years, met some great people, had a large influence on my art! hell, this is where i started taking my first commissions which is something that's definitely improved my life over the last 10 years.

also an old-timey neopets transplant…left neo when they went all commercial (after swearing to users they never would), & subeta showed up like here, hold my beer. and over the years (nearly (14 for me?!), it became so much…MORE. like many others have mentioned, the inclusivity is just unmatched. Every plot is amazing, but personally I LOVED being able to explore the skelly mansion, and the community participation during the blake vs saggi plot was legendary. I LIVE for Morostide. i'm relatively new-ish to this community compared to a lot of folks! i've been around since the beginning of 2018, so almost five years now. not long enough to be considered a subeta veteran by any means, but long enough to have come to appreciate the cute quirks of this site and familiarize myself with the awesome, diverse community here. my one regret is not joining sooner. even though i'm no longer in contact with the person who initially introduced me to subeta, i've found a home here despite it all and i hope to be here for many more years to come. ♡

Out of all the virtual pet sites I've played on Subeta is my fave. I'm so happy that I came here.
My favourite thing on Subeta would have to be the avatar maker. Looking back I wasn't sure when it first came out but quickly became addicted to it.
My next fave is Luminaire. I love visiting the cottage every day, putting presents under trees, decorating my own tree, etc. It really puts me in a festive spirit. ^_^

I still enjoy the site but I very much enjoyed how NEW subeta was to me during that time - an entire new world to discover. This site has brought me so much joy. Thank you for working so hard to keep it magical for us.

Happy Birthday Subeta!!! One of my favorite things about the sites has always been the item descriptions! Countless of them have made me laugh harder than I anticipated, while others are beautiful, adorable, or simple. Every pet color is a delight, and its always such a hard choice to pick the next pet/color to adopt! All of the holiday events are so much fun, and interactive, and all of the holiday items bring me SO MUCH joy; there is never a shortage of seasonal themed goodies! I have 96 Legacy pets and enjoy each one of them. I blame the Blobs as I have one of every type except the common one. Still waiting for release of Steamwork, Blacklight, Sweatheart & Harvest Blobs. I love so many things about Subeta I could write a novella but one of my best Subeta memories is attending a Subeta meetup :) I met some amazing people who are still friends to this day :heart: It was such fun to geek out with people who are as nerdy about Subeta as I am!

The first thing that drew me to Subeta was the art. Even the old art from 14 years ago was way better than other petsites and I especially loved my Bloodred Warador. I still have him and Waradors are still my favorite pet!
I always enjoy all the events here but I think I'd have to say the zombies are my favorite (Morostide is really close though). I drifted away for a while because of stuff going on in my life but I happened to check back in during Survival 2012, which got me hooked again. That year had a big plot which kept me engaged. I got the Crack Head strain and kept it all the way up until we could convert strains into skins in the wardrobe. I enjoyed the challenge of trying to cover my zombieness whenever I wanted to make a "normal" HA...you guys didn't make it easy back then! I hope someday I can collect every strain.
And speaking of collecting, another of my favorite things about Subeta is that there's so much to collect. There's always another collection to work on, more achievements to go for and more stuff to do. Personally, I never get bored here; there's always some goal to work on, even if it's just making numbers go up.

Happy Birthday Subeta! So many great memories over the years but my favorite was the first Masquerade. I still remember making my HA, which was so simple because my wardrobe wasn't very full. I remember going on the forums and dancing with, yes, STRANGERS because only one of my friends was on the night it started. It is where I met one of my best friends, and even though she is gone, that memory comes back every time we dance here.
I use to love the Chinese New Year and the red envelopes. I loved opening them. Oh, and group forums. I love the groups I subscribe to.

Of course I'm running here to post my favorite things about Subeta!!! My favorite pets have always been between the Demi, Kumos and Kerubi. I'd say first Kumos, then Demi, then Kerubi.I absolutely love Reborn as my initial favorite coloring. But besides this, my number one favorite thing about Subeta has to be the consistent friendliness among all the players I've ever come across. Everyone here has always been so so kind, and I've simply never been a member of an online forum anywhere where the kindness is so prevalent. I've had random folks in SBox try to help me identify items (not their jobs lol could've just send me to do it on my own), I've had randoms gift me multiple plushies and beanbags for my collection (quite expensive ones mind you), I have one special friend who has never given up checking on me every so often, even when I ghost my profile for months..... I just love it! Thanks, Subeta, for being one of the best parts of my life. Happy 18th.

I love Subeta for my pets and for my friends. Subeta has been a comfort website for me for so long. I grew up here. My life was always really tumultuous but no matter what went wrong, I still had my Subeta account. Still had my pets, still had my friends. I could be creative here, I had people who cared about me here. Watching the website grow to what it has become today is, at least I consider, one of the great privileges of my entire life.

Most entertaining time ever and best plot for me was the Omen Islands story - Islanders/Pirates War. We were steering through molasses, still sticking hard to it in spite of the horrible lag, battle chat was spilling over and everybody was having the time of their lives.

Subeta has been one of the best sites I’ve found in the last decade. I only started in July last year but I seriously wish all the time that I’d started ages ago. Nevertheless, I’ve felt so welcomed by this community from the start. There are so many gorgeous items and pets, the art style is amazing. I love Illumis and Zasaba but my absolute favorite is Experiment 104. I spent my first 20mil trying to zap and get it, and when I finally did I was so excited!!

I've been around for 15.5 years, the growth of this site and the effort that has been made to keep users wanting to stay has been amazing. Being a grown adult now (does 31 count as adult because sometimes it doesn't feel like it) I don't spend as much time here as I used to but I think I'll always keep coming back.

Wow, 18 years. I've been here for almost 15 (14y/10m), way longer than any relationship in my life lol. To this day my favorite plot is the og zombie outbreak, and I still like the trick or treating. Subeta is a constant. So much has changed in my life in the past 11 and a half years, but Subeta has always been there. I have fond memories of allll the old plots - there isn't a single one I didn't love. The Steele Plot was legendary, as was the Councillor's Cruise.

Wow Happy 18th! I'm glad I've been here for most of it! It's seen me through breakups, travelling around the world, living in a different country, and so many more experiences. One of my favourite things about the site is the humour that threads through everything. Most especially the descriptions of items!!! My partner often has a laugh with me at some of them. My favourite holiday is Masquerade because it was my first (I joined before Survival but I missed it because I had no idea what was going on since it was the one year with no new strains), and I love all the different wearable that you can get from it at any time as long as you can afford them.
As for items, I remember when the Pride Sashes were released and I was so happy that Asexuality was included, although it was nice to see pride flags in general.

Happy 18th anniversary Subeta!! Wow, to think I've been around for some.. 9+ years? I mean I remember the 10th birthday being a big thing! D:
I am not so active anymore last years, but I met my good friends @steampirate and @ToxicWolf here, I developed as an artist, learned English here.. Wow man so much memories!
I loved the earlier plots like around Masquarade and Esther and Tempy.. And the one with all the puzzles and timetraveling but I don't remember the name. It was great because as a kid with growing English skills I could really feel as if I mattered in the plot and they had such great characters and plot twists! Also I rememeber the morostide plot with Jaxon being really great.
