Potion Lottery: Revamped!
The potion lottery has gotten a revamp!
Every entry now has four pets on it too. Pick them yourself or use Quick Pick if you don't care and just want to buy your ticket. Each night the draw picks four pets, and a drawn potion goes to whichever entry on it matched the most pets. Ties are drawn at random, and if nobody on that potion matched a single pet, someone holding it still wins.
Entries are 2,500 sP, or 77,500 sP for a MegaTicket on every potion. If your account is at least 30 days old, you also get a free entry every night, with the same chances as a paid one.
You can spend up to 400,000 sP a night on entries. If you want less than that, you can set your own limit or take a break from buying on the lottery page. There are also ten new achievements, and a few of them are for losing in funny ways.
If you were still on the old lottery, tickets you already bought are in tonight's draw.

Think of the pets like numbers or letters in the lottery - you're just choosing an additional component for the chance to win something new (in this case, sP).
The pets aren't related to your pets, they're just icons we're using because I really like them and want to use them more places 😅

I like the new system even if I don't completely get the process. For those that have mentioned the cap, you can adjust your cap higher. Mine is set at 500k.
I don’t understand the choosing pets part - is this our pets and the potion gets used on one of them? Or is it some other matching thing that happens?
Guess its a good thing I got the achievement years ago for winning the potion lottery by buying so many tickets I had a 99% chance to win... P: Time to get the new achievements!

Why such a low spending limit? Does that mean we can only purchase 4 megatickets a day, regardless of who it's for? I'm trying to lottery bomb friends, but apparently I hit the limit with 4... seems pretty low to me.

I think the point of potion lottery bombing is typically to bomb one person, usually on a special occasion like their birthday, so while buying for multiple people is still fun it's not actually what people typically mean by potion lottery bombing. And the 400k spend cap essentially prevents potion lottery bombing. Usually I spend 1-5 mil if I'm potion lottery bombing someone for their birthday, and I know I'm not the only one. Any chance we can increase that limit? Or if you want to encourage community, keep a 400k limit for yourself but raise it if you're buying tickets for other people?

I bought a Megaticket on the old system after midnight last night. Those tickets appear to be gone, and I don't think the lottery ever ran. It also says I've spent 16k on tickets today...but, again, those tickets appear to be gone.
Looks cool! I like that there are 2 winners now. I think the news page winner hasn't been carried over, though.
Did there used to be an achievement for entering yourself in the lottery with a mega ticket? Or have I just been buying mega tickets for myself when I could have been buying regular tickets haha
